Never thought I would get back into park/pro am but its been a fun month....even with my fundamental glass cleaning lockdown.

Like someone else said, I think the key is making a "teamate proof" build. I've run into some compete idiots.. some dude tried to sabatoge our game last night because he wasn't getting touches...and we were up 10, smh...but I've been fortunate enough to run with some good squads...even made gained some running partners along the way. If anyone around here is on XBO I'm down to run.

Love those blocks. Nothing gets me more hype in this game than a well timed block.

The sabotaging is brutal. They REALLY need to make the teammate grade system more punitive. I played against (thank god) a guy who had rubber banded his analog for the entire game. Literally a minute after tip off, he was just running to the right. He finished with a D. That was with a few turnovers where they accidentally passed him the ball.

Yup. I've made 2 builds that can rebound, one that can't. The one that can't is by far the worse experience and worse record. What I love is the buddyball-proof the build provides for buddyballers who don't have a big lmao. They're in for a surprise once they predictably start freezing me out. They're usually too low iq to realize you never freeze out someone who can control the glass and choose player to inbound to. Congratulations, you played yourself haha. I usually go full Jokic-mode in those games, without the passing, unless the team ain't buddyballin.

So I tried a game on my lunch break with randoms...



You were right.

Unfortunately, I ended up matched against a pre-made with 4 guards and a stretch 4 at the 5. So of course they ran 5 out and torched us anytime we tried to help. Eventually we ended up just conceding uncontested drives since they were basically automatic on open 3s.

On the other hand, their interior defense was non existent and their zone was horribly ineffective so I was able to get a great sample size trying to dunk with the analog stick. Got a good mix of drives and standing dunks and the stick definitely didn’t seem to be pulling me into layup animations. So now I’ll have to train myself back to using the stick for dunking and aiming for layups!

Be careful...don't let the MyPlayer take you away from PNO like it did me, lol. I told you that it becomes addicting when you actually discover that you're a solid MyPlayer gamer. Nice highlights.

I would say they missed maybe 1 or 2 uncontested 3s. The rest of the misses were when we managed to get a contest. So they were close to 90% on open 3s. I’ll give them credit and say half of their 3s were actually catch and shoot. They lined up in 5 out but drove a lot on the screens then passed to the open man whenever help came. My guy greened his first 3 3-pointers when I moved to protect the paint so I finally just gave up and conceded the dunk. This is the reality when you play against players who are good shooters. Drive and kick to collapse the D is a legitimate strategy but when all the defense can decide is whether to give up 2 points or 3, you’ve got a balance problem.

Man, I rather play defense than offense..I dont mind being the clean up guy offensively. Glad the stick is working out for you though! It's really brought my efficiency up.

Man, they have completely abandoned that mode. It's on YOLO sliders right now, lol. Never seen anything like it. Its crazy that you see more defensive stands in Park/Rec right now than PNO. If they decide to pay it some attention ill be back.
