Well. Started this up tonight.

I skipped the story.

I had 300,000 VC (thanks to PNO)

I made a Vince Carter clone that looks like me, equipped him with all of VC’s sig styles.

I bought him up to an 85.

Played 4 games in rookieville, all wins, ranked up to pro 1. I was sent to the east side beasts, I immediately transferred to the north side knights (I’m from the north, thought it was appropriate....lol).

Still have 120,000 VC left, gonna buy my shoes, by some city gear (for those that don’t know, 2k supplied all
Of the rec gear this year for free.....like I mean everything).

I'm playing the MyCareer mode to grind badges and build VC, since I barely played PNO to build a bank. Mainly playing 2K20, but I'm hoping that REC will be more "fun" once I get maxed out... however long that will take [emoji849].

In rec you have your generic yellow uniform.

But now all accessories are free (minus shoes), so the headbands, arm/leg sleeves/pads, wrist bands, compression leg/arm sleeves, compression shirts/pants etc etc. You use to have to buy all that stuff at swags. It’s now already available for you to equip for free.

You don’t even have to go to swags. It’s all already loaded up on your rec/pro am equipment tabs.

Yes. I have to get a skateboard too, the city is no joke!

Played my first stint in rec last night.......

I’m not sure what game decisions these guy were making with next gen but it’s mind boggling.......

You guys were right, what a complete waste of 90+ mins, this mode is more pointless than PNO (did I just say that ??? Lol).

You can’t finish a game, you can’t finish a game, you can’t finish a game.....

You’re either losing and everyone quits out or your winning and everyone quits out because you can just dashboard out and not get an L, hahaha!!!

Makes no sense, no wins, no loses, no progression, nothing, zip, zero....

The rec had no competitive merit what so ever. It’s just a black hole of time wasting.

So what now ? Go back to PNO ? Just end this madness and get the show ?

I’m lost for words with this title on next gen, it’s just a massive train wreck of very confusing decisions....

But how do you even get wins if everyone always quits out before the game finishes ?

You just hope someone doesn’t know and finishes the game ? You could play for hours upon hours and never get anything....

If the opponent fully quits you get the win and all progression.

Unless they also changed that.

OMG! I was under the impression that those controllers wasn't possible on NextGen consoles. I might go ahead and stop playing this game this season. My character is only a 73 overall, but I keep getting matched up with teammates and opponents that's 95+. My IQ is good, but it's not that good to overcome that much of a gap in overall plus the lack of badges.

Then I still have to deal with cheaters, since I did create a SG??? I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this dude was using a zen controller. When his shot meter came on, the marker always began in the exact same spot on the left hand side, and then it always moved at the same speed getting to the marker for the excellent release no matter how good my defense was.

Next-gen is a joke...

Just thought of something. You could literally stay at a 99 overall indefinitely as long as you quit before the game ends.

Who the hell thought that was a good idea? Quitting is an automatic loss in PNO, but it's zero penalty in REC?
