OMG! I was under the impression that those controllers wasn't possible on NextGen consoles. I might go ahead and stop playing this game this season. My character is only a 73 overall, but I keep getting matched up with teammates and opponents that's 95+. My IQ is good, but it's not that good to overcome that much of a gap in overall plus the lack of badges.

Then I still have to deal with cheaters, since I did create a SG??? I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this dude was using a zen controller. When his shot meter came on, the marker always began in the exact same spot on the left hand side, and then it always moved at the same speed getting to the marker for the excellent release no matter how good my defense was.

Next-gen is a joke...

Cant you decide how you want to shoot?

Like just with a meter and no aiming?

My shooting was "fine". His was on a whole unbeatable level.

Zen in on next gen. I’ve seen it first hand. Impossible to shoot like that without the aid of the zen....impossible.

It was crazy. The first two shots, I was like "whatever". I know my defense is not the greatest without being maxed out, but it felt like dude was killing me despite contesting the shots. It was on the sixth shot he made in a row when I noticed that the bar always started on the left hand side and just smoothly moved to the excellent release.

When he greened the 7th and 8th shot, I knew there was nothing that I could do about him. The one shot he did miss, he had accidentally pumped fake.

True that, but this cheat is unbeatable...to my knowledge. Excellent releases being an automatic make was a problem in itself. Being able to get an automatic excellent release with a simple button tap that leads to the automatic make...yeah, I don't what you can really do with that.

I play two games yesterday due to the double rep in REC. In both games, one to two of my teammates were getting scorched at a ridiculous rate.

I finish the games, because I hate quitting once the game actually starts. No matter what, I'm at a disadvantage, because of my low overall. I hate that they don't match the low overalls together. I play just good enough not to be a liability on the court. As a result, I'm getting 6 PPG, 3 APG, 2 RPG, and (surprisingly enough) 3 SPG. Modest numbers, but nothing to scream to the heavens about.

I dashboard, I’ll finish the game if it’s close. But when 4 mans a gone by the 2nd quarter and I’m alone and getting quadruple teamed and the AI teammates are pylons....I’m out, dashboard, try again.

I don't blame you. I know that I'm at a disadvantage due to my overall, and I can somewhat expect people having great games (without cheating) against me; however, the AI is SUCH a night and day difference when compared to NBA 2K20.

REC is basically overran with cheaters, and the AI doesn't make it any better. You can dashboard with no penalty and maintain your overall. Let's be honest, unless you're on a mission to get a high rep, once you have your badges, completed progression, and accessories, the importance of playing to the end becomes less relevant. I've been so focused on the fact that the AI's offense is so busted, that I haven't been paying attention to how it plays while on defense. At least in NBA 2K20, you could STILL win with a team full of AIs. We all probably done it. In NBA 2K21, that's not even close to a possibility.

Throw in the Zen users, and the mode is pretty much a cheesefest (for randoms anyway) unless you go in with a squad. Even then, the game becomes which team is the best at feeding their Zen teammate. The decision making for NBA 2K21 for next-gen was VERY questionable. I guarantee people are probably in the lobby area messaging each other to find out who's using a Zen controller. Pathetic.

Side note: I really HATE how the game doesn't tell the positions of your teammates while in the locker room. Also, I think it's stupid that the game is pulling your stats from the MyCareer mode when they're being displayed. Although, I don't remember ever getting 10+ assists in any game, let alone averaging 11 APG according to the locker room stats.

Yes not having positions at locker room start is stupid. But doesn’t it matter ? It’s all five of the same player anyways ??!! Lol

Grinding out badges in MyCareer. From my understanding, while your character is in college, the setting is "Rookie". I'm going to grind out my shooting badges, because I think the other badges are easier to pick up with just regular old games whether it's MyCareer and REC. Hard to work for shooting badges in REC when I will barely get the ball.
