Starters are gaining badges, creating even more separation from bench players.

2020 Rookies had excess badges out of the gate and are being stripped of them.

Do you know what the Hands attribute is for? In the past people thought it had to do with catching lobs but under the sliders menu it says its for deflecting passes so I'm inclined to go with that.

The problem with the rating being a catch-all is basically everyone in the league will have a high rating.

The attribute is functionally "catching" / "catch prevention".

Draft Night / Offseason Roster has been released!

Roster is offseason ready (UFAs in the FA pool), w/
(These include 2-Way players signed immediately after the draft)

ROSTER FEATURES

-Full attribute edits for 95% of NBA players.
Every single attribute was painstakingly edited in accordance w/ 2K's scales (or an enhanced version of their scale). Procedures have been developed over the last 18 years of editing NBA 2K rosters.

This does *not* apply to Rookies, as I downloaded them all tonight from JackMove916's Draft Class. I can't vouch for their accuracy or that they'll fit scale, but they will all be modified over the next month. My general assumption is that they are passable for the majority of players (Height/Weight/Ages/Positions were corrected).

-No seriously, every single attribute.
Consideration leads to greater accuracy. Editing ratings is a mix of math, knowledge, and "feel". One can't be a slave to a spreadsheet (i.e. where 2K Sports' issues often stem).

-The most accurate positions of any roster.
I don't just look at Basketball Reference's estimate like the majority of editors. BBR is simply sorting by height - the actual lineup data often paints a different picture. Some editors are really out here thinking Grant Williams (6'6" / 236) was a SF in lineups w/ Jayson Tatum (6'8" / 210).

-Updated Coaching & Staff profiles
Ratings, Badges, and POE's were adjusted for Head & Assistant coaches to generate a better MyLeague experience. GMs etc were also adjusted to give a more realistic touch.

-Updated Contracts
While 2K cleaned a lot of these up, maybe 3% needed some type of adjustment. Currently Rookie contracts are not accurate (the draft was literally 12 hours ago), but 1st rounders were at least given 4-year deals and figures will be updated as they become available.


FUTURE ADDITIONS
-Completed Tendencies, Badges, and Player Playtypes
Once the off-season dust has settled I will finish data collection that is used on these areas. Badges/Tendencies have already been updated for approximately 33% of teams - I felt it best to finish the attributes first and revisit these later.

-Jump to Next-Gen (PS5)
Right now my focus is finishing the data projects on my plate and keeping up with what will be an extremely rapid off-season. Beginning a next-gen data transfer now would lead to those tasks not being completed.

-Updated Classic Teams
This is mostly a long-term project, and application won't begin until next-gen roster release.
