Re: Shot Meter and Green Circle Setting in NBA 2K21

People on Youtube are talking about shooting hotfix which could be available in any minute (if not out already). Hopefully, this existing green light bug (under user's feet, even when shot feedback off, playing cpu offline) has also been addressed as part of the hotfix. Fingers crossed

At 44, I’m a bit old school and not really in to timing and shot sticks. I’ve always used real fg%, but last year I noticed you could never get a clean swish using real fg%. Every make seemed to graze the rim at some point. Any chance that was fixed this year? It’s unrealistic, especially to see guys like Curry or Harden never swish one, and was the main reason I got rid of 2K20 and went back to 16. I doubt it’s fixed, but I’m hoping.

        Nah it wasn't fixed.
You can never swish in NBA 2k21 using real player % either.
Plus, shot trajectories look really weird too.
Mike Wang said he will get rid of green splash via a patch (when shot feedback is off, playing CPU offline).
I am eagerly waiting for this to happen asap...

I started playing today and I do not hate the aiming but when I play play now online it killed me. Maybe because there is more lag. On MyCareer I am a post scorer and I like it. I make more shots with it than when I use the button.

Can somebody confirm that that green splash/ red circle(from double teaming) and takeover badge (with that stupid flames...this is not NBA JAM) can be switch off and not be seen anymore when playing offline??

Seriously you don't play Broadcast view in very hard difficulties with adjusted slider to really feel like your in NBA games just to see all this none sense..and you don't brag "the most realistic basketball experience" with this none sense either.

I can confirm that these are all there in NBA 2K21
and unfortunately they cant be turned off.
Mike Wang said the green splash will no longer an issue when playing CPU offline but its still there.
He said he would address it during the next patch.
Dunno whether that patch will include an option to turn off double team indicators or takeover icons though...

If this is the case then I might just not buy 2k21. I haven't skipped an NBA 2K game before but I really don't like where this is heading. It seems offline players are being penalized for changes that were supposed to be for online multiplayer/park players. Little to no MyLeague updates.

Perhaps next gen news will change my mind but I doubt they'll change the shot stick for that version. They'll stick to this change then will (maybe) backtrack before the release of 2k2 if feedback on it is considerable.

Heard online users got a hotfix the other day...
It would be much appreciated if you could fix this green splash issue for all of our offline users who mainly play with cpu. Thank you!!

Let's not do this. Mike let us know it's something he may be able to patch in, let's give it time.

When there is an update, it will definitely be posted here.

I purchased the game with assurance given by him on his twitter saying I won't see greens when I play CPU offline with shot feedback off (please see the attachment).
I am not trying to rush him but I thought someone might have an update on this matter. If not, that's cool. I will give it some more time. Cheers.

Agree, I rmb somewhere here, some dev replied me directly, it was a promise, when the game arrived, green lights are gone and I know 2k can't be trusted, so that's why I didn't buy the game yet, until some bro here confirm that stupid stuff is gone, I will go get it.

I thought you guys were just referring to the CPU's greens, not your own. My misunderstanding. In the next patch, you can turn Shot Feedback to OFF and you won't see anymore green lights.

The double team circles are going away too.

With 2k21, If i play without aim i play with shot feedback/no meter as with old 2k's 16-15-14. So i'd and we'd rather have the option that is meter off/user splash green off. Rather than what you suggested here is no feedback so no green kinda thing is not the way we want actually. We may have lost in 'terms' as you guys gave a lot of options and changes thru (thanks for that as always).

                            I hope i'm clear.

Again to be more clear, lol i repeat myself but if i don't use aim, i use no meter yes shot feedback and that's why i don't want to see green splash under me as well as i don't use meter, too.

So the option should be assigned when i don't have meter on i don't want green splash under. But i like to have my feedback on after the shots happened. I don't want to know until i know.

PS: Yes you may tell that if you have your feedback on then you already know if you get green excellent feedback and you know your shot will go in, but this will only lead us to another big big problem that is green shouldn't be 100% of shots going in. But that's a different disscussion so i'm not getting there, no worries.

Off-topic PS: I liked a lot about 2k21 that is seeing more rim/ball interactions happening especially with aim i've seen some good, different and natural stuff..

Please let this be an option against CPU or Human. you really dont need to show all this gimmicks, just keep the presentation clean as possible.
