It's pretty much a wrap once you hit the league. I have yet to see any since I've been in the league. There aren't even cut scenes for endorsement negotiations, barely any half time interviews, pre game clips etc.

If you start a MyCareer file and skip the prelude, going straight to the NBA...

Hendrixx Cobb does not appear AT ALL.

As in, he's not on any roster, he's not in the free agent pool...he just doesn't exist.

Personally, I'm okay with this.

Pressing R3 on your own player reveals you were taken #1 overall, though...at a 60 OVR.

I went undrafted and signed with the Lakers as FA. Cobb dialogue still triggered but no sign of him anywhere. Looks like 2k didn’t expect anyone to be a struggling role player in HS and college Lmao

Superstar 11 min quarters, slashing PG with the Suns

A game before I became a starter, Devin Booker got injured for 4-6 weeks. At the time we were 8-8 now we have been like 1-6 since then. Not to mention they trade Cobb who would have been a great 6th man for TIM ****ING HARDAWAY.

Cameron Johnson is great but barely plays. Oubre is horrendous. Ayton was great initially and now has sorta fallen back to sorta okay. The only offense is me drawing fouls and occasional layups but even that's been difficult, and my player is getting exhausted and in the gatorade zone by the 3rd quarter. 75 overall, no extra VC used. Our big men are constantly getting out rebounded on the offensive boards. Briges, Oubre, Haradwy are not great from 3 pt range and I have yet to develop a midrange/3pt shot.

Still focusing current VC on perimeter defense, lateral quickness, passing and ball handling for now. Once they get to better skills/stop having 4-5 TO's a game and bad shooting nights I'll develop the 3pt game more.

Was debating asking for a trade but will wait to see how the team looks when Booker gets back in 1-2 weeks. Believe we're on a 5 game losing streak which sucks, 13th in the conference if not worse by now. If we're still awful by the ASB may debate going to the Pelicans.

I'm on the Rockets, 3-level scorer SF (should really be a playmaking shotcreator) and we're like 6-7. We'll beat up on bad teams but any good teams or teams with a superstar we're easily losing by 30. This is HOF btw. Thought about requesting a trade also but might let the season rock just to see how it goes. BTW I'm a 3 level scorer averaging 16, 7 and 7 with percentages like 25% from the field, 5% from 3 (no joke), and 70% from free-throw line. The shooting is really just killing it for me. I'm 84 overall and have enough badges and yet...

Weird, the Rockets and Mavs are both under 500 so far too in my game. We'll usually be playing good or average, the bench doesn't do anything, and then once the 3rd quarter starts we just start to get blown out. Wish they had a coaching thing in the game where they give us adjustments at the half like in the past.

Yeah, Im probably just going to stick it out unless we're a disaster by the ASB and have 0 chance at playoffs even w Booker. Think the game when you struggle clogs up the 8 and lower seed since there are about 7 teams within a game or two of each other for the spot.

It took me forever to get decent at FT's in the game, I think Im at like 81 now and it costs 1,000+ VC to upgrade. I was using the trigger for a while but it was just too difficult with the shakiness. Now on the PS4 I just use the square button and its much easier.

Still struggling w 3pt shots and mid range even in practice so really need to develop it.


I feel like any team that has not a phenomenal defense gets exposed constantly in the paint on upper levels, and then unless you're a superstar its really difficult to play offensively since most of the guys are constantly bricking shots at 3 or in the paint when you pass to them. The post game is non existent from my teammates.

No cutscene
No mid game interview
No end game interview
No half time show
No warmup intro game

Nothing else

Just play and grind for vc, without any other things

Silly. Super barebones. I would’ve thought it would have definitely been a cutscene between me and the friend/rival I was drafted with. Nothing.

I wish HOF difficulty was tougher. The last time the CPU was pretty tough was in 2K19. Seems like the AI was much better and smarter offensively. It used to be a absolute pain guarding someone like Kyrie or Curry.

I really think the shots should fall a little more for both opposing and teammates CPU. They miss so many open jumpers it’s crazy.

This is disappointing. I really enjoyed negotiations with agencies, cutscenes that would show a commercial I did, or signing shoes when I go into the shoe store and have my own shoe. I don't really care so much about the story anymore but those were an integral part. I always felt 2k had a leg up on other myplayer modes because of this, hope they don't go the way of Madden. I can't imagine next gen being this lazy.

You guys do realize that there doing this because they put all their effort & time into creating a insane mycareer experience for us on 2k21 Next Gen? I'm completely satisfied with this being watered down because they are focused on the ps5

Ima 93ovr 6'7 sharpshooting facilitator with the Bulls and we are like 20-10 playing 12min HOF .. My recommendation to u is to turn on Offensive playcalling to Auto, Turn on Visuals to ALL Plays... This will make your team call different random plays consistently and always keep your teammates moving .. It helps alot with running a good offense

Doesn’t matter. Still shouldn't be as barebones. The whole being drafted together and stuff was pointless without any cutscenes or even texts to each other. No excusing no post game interviews or anything.

We don't know this for sure whatsoever.

For all we know, it could be the exact same storyline (they're 100% using Michael K Williams etc for the next gen version) and once you get to the NBA they just include media questions, interviews, etc just things like before. I have 0 confidence we're getting this incredible highly different storyline. IT WILL BE THE EXACT SAME STORYLINE.
