I really hope 2k worked on the free agency AI cause Im either on a team with a lot of pgs or centers. I no complaints with draft classes but I just wish there was some sort of way to actually to see who is a star or just a role-player when it comes to generated players.

Re: My Career 2k21 Thread
Yea I figured I’d share the offseason moves screen they showed me. As for the shooting, me personally I only drive unless its a buzzer beater, but for my teammates.. I have very little faith in their jump shooting abilities. Now I don’t know if it’s because I’m on the Knicks and we have no real shooters, or it’s just the game. We signed L. Aldridge, Hardaway Jr. in the offseason, and drafted a rookie who has a decent jumpshot, and I have a little more faith when I pass it to them because they make more than the other teammates, but still not a high percentage. The rookie is shooting 41% from deep but he averages 1.2 3s per game. After him our next best % is a stretch big J. Porter who’s shooting 30% from deep with .7 3s per game.

That 90s offense. I (WAS) on knicks w/ my shooter. We (DID) alright, I just let people brick and try to rebound. haha. The only person I've seen shoot 3s in this game and not hit one eventually is Tacko. I've served that dude a bunch of wide open Js too (he can hit mids.) No idea why he's out there, no idea why he wants to shoot them, but I'm sticking with him until he makes one.

As to roles, on the ‘player card’ on the ‘contract’ page it has ‘organizational role’ there if that’s what you mean. It says prospect, superstar, expendable, cap space, etc..

Yea it’s good, but it ends once you get to the NBA. I’m in my second season and yet to see even a cutscene or interview. Nothing.

Re: My Career 2k21 Thread
The one thing that always annoyed me about 2k mc is it seems like once you get to about 80 overall you can score 50-70 ppg with almost no effort. That's every freaking edition, including the hard double ones... because you just cut. You catch the ball at a certain spot, depending on how the d is set up, pass it, cut, and score. You could do it with your 60 rated dude, too, it was just less consistent and you wouldn't get the minutes to go over like 25-30.
Dudes gotta trust and pass the ball when you press the call for pass button, tho. haha. I don't wanna see that nerfed. I don't wanna see catches while cutting nerfed (maybe a little...too many lasers), but mainly I'd like MC to be something that I can still call for the ball but that I don't end up with all of the stats.
Then team takeover is just bonkers. I never used that before until recently, but it's like joke mode.
I wanna be able to put up 50 and 60 occasionally though. Cuz yknow I'm good at the game and all, and those things do happen... but... honestly I might be happy with a 'come out of the game' choice. It'd still kinda be a joke, but if coach wasn't playing me the whole 4th when we were up 40, my stats would not look the same.

As the only current gen person still posting on this forum (haha), check it! I am remaking my dude. Not entirely happy, but it shouldn't be too much work.

Next gen
I really can't pick or stick with one build. I got a 6'8 250 LB Lebron like build but I feel like deleting it because I don't think it's a good build. I should do less weight to get better attributes and badges.
I also created a 5'11 PG that looks like Mike Tyson but he's pretty much a 5'11 Derrick Rose as a side project.Comment

Re: My Career 2k21 Thread
So im kind of pissed i got drafted #2 overall and Hendrix cobb #1 overall but we play the same position and both went to the Chicago Bulls. Has this happened to anyone else? That your both on the same team at the same position?

Re: My Career 2k21 Thread
That has happened to everyone else. It's part of the storyline. What gets me is that, if you start a new MyCareer, you get the new NBA rookies, but also the Junior/Cobb draft class. So every team has double the rookies the should have. For the Celtics, that means 6 rookies on the roster.
Yea I'm on wars. We got Wiseman Cobb and me. Haha.
I do wish they'd flesh the mode more than just a story line. I Am emo and I've made like 20 guys if u count pc too. When I played the story I always was like salty about picking harper because dude looked like he was gonna cry. The chemistry boost is cool. But as someone who plays Mc games to generate vc I think harper is better meta wise. But I'd never do my boy like that in real life.
That moment is probably the only real moment I saw but I skipped a ton. It's like well once I get paid I can throw dude money no worries he's not gonna starve.
But imagine Mc with more decisions. Imagine being able to keep Cobb. Cobb is the most annoying player to go vs because he's built to counter your build, but he's a good teammates. It's like let Cobb stay and get more love and be his pippen, or if you outshine him he might get salty and eventually it ends. Yknow stuff like that.
Daz wat we want 2k.
