Something is really off this year, they don’t updated player shoe brands, theirs a bunch of shoes that need to be added, are they done updating rookies? I know about Covid but they have no access to do anything??

I think that’s what it is but it’s hard for some people to understand that. This pandemic really hit different. It’s so evident. I play a lot of other games besides 2k and noticed how specifically GTA online since the pandemic, the updates became really buggy and just lacked the umph they usually have like updates and patches of the past. I think it’s clear they don’t have access to the regular studio so most if not all updates are being done from the crib lol.. by this time most if not all rookies will have their facescans but they don’t and to be honest, it doesn’t bother me much and I don’t take it personally just bc a lot of things are still missing from the game. I do like a lot of others I see in here and just improvise which I love to see a lot of people do. It gives me a lot of ideas that I sometimes implement myself but I’m sure soon there’s gonna be a huge patch that’s going to address a lot of things wrong with the game and hopefully the sneakers are included in that. We have a lot of nba left fellas so just hold on and rotate what we got now and keep those creations coming

Right, they were able to release the games on time but the pandemic has clearly effected NBA 2K21 post - release.

People need to have patience and empathy about the circumstances we are ALL living under. In the grand scheme of things missing shoes in a piece of entertainment technology isn't a big deal.

Off - topic: And to be 100% honest, I was salty/upset about the rookie class being mostly CAP faces. And I got pretty upset in a separate thread about it but the reality is they didn't add them "manually." I share in people's frustrations, but clearly things have shifted because of COVID.

The scanning tech has become a vital part of the development process, whether for better or worse, and restrictions (for healthy & safety) likely make it untenable to use.

I’m sure COVID has affected some things but the sneaker issues have been a problem for years. I honestly believe they had some good ideas that sadly stopped being a priority. I remember the devs saying that some players would rotate colorways and models throughout the mycareer season. It not terribly bothered by it but I’ve just started resigning to wait until the next year for any new sneaker models, instead of being irritated at the lack of updates. Lol I still don’t believe the partnership thing because it feels like someone is just going out to buy shoes to scan in, here and there.

I'm an essential worker when others were told to stay home for couple weeks or more my job straight up was F-that you're still continuing as usual. Bottom line in the past 2 years 2k HAS BEEN SLACKING on lack of Kicks, new ones and colorways- and the custom patterns for shoes are way beyond a overhaul

2k has a licensing contract with the NBA. 2k does not have autonomy to charge any price they want. They even have set release dates for the game set by the NBA.

Again, I don't have knowledge of how pricing works, or if the licensing agreement has any clauses about pricing, so not sure why you replied to me.

I stated that we aren't executives at Take-Two or 2K, so disputing how much they should or shouldn't charge is pointless. Both Cyberpunk 2077, WWE 2K20 & countless games have released "incomplete" at full price. It's up to the consumer to do their due diligence and not expect greedy, money hungry corporations to act in "good faith."

I guess I should have included the NBA in that statement. [emoji2377]
