The updates between the two consoles are weird.. last week the PS4 got the likeness updates but PS5 didn't get them until this week.. now the PS5 got shoe updates before the PS4 lol

I truly think something is wrong with 2k, why are non basketball shoes in this game

Nah I’m done hearing how it isn’t 2k fault, it’s always 2k fault, no matter how you slice it, a million dollar company can’t literally buy these 100 or less than 100 dollar shoes to scan, that’s a poor excuse

Nah I’m done hearing how it isn’t 2k fault, it’s always 2k fault, no matter how you slice it, a million dollar company can’t literally buy these 100 or less than 100 dollar shoes to scan, that’s a poor excuse

They can’t do that. They need express permission from the company to do that. Which is why the company sends 2K a sample pair.

Then how come they have permission to use any of the brands in 2k now 🤔, something not adding up, I’m tired of dudes not holding 2k accountable, like I said 2k is a million dollar company, no excuses, we spent money for the game every year, we should honestly complain and get what we want because we’re the consumers at the end of the day

That is an explanation that has been provided many times over the last few years and I can believe that to some extent but ill provide an example of something that confuses me.. the PG5 has been out for several months now and in previous iterations of 2K it has been part of a marketing campaign for both Take Two and Nike with TWO different versions literally labeled 2K.. I flatly refuse to believe that Nike hasn't sent a version of that shoe for scanning because it simply doesn't make any sense when you consider the previous years examples.. a few pages back an OS member contacted 2K about shoes and got a rather lengthy answer essentially stating what you posted here and as an older 2K player all I got from that was this is a corporate answer that doesn't really answer the question.. a couple years ago the Russ Why Not was released (can't recall if it was the 1 or 2) and it was in 2K the next day which really surprised me because I expect a least a slight delay.. it seems more likely that there is some issue other than availability at play here and it can't be shared with the community at large

You are more than welcome to your "OWN" truth lol but 2k does not scan shoes . The companies scan the shoes and send the file to 2k.

It’s still very alarming honestly like why are the Kobe 9 highs aren’t in the edit shoe creator, like it’s some really dope colorways in the game but are locked to mycareer

This is a ongoing issue for several years, the last time 2k cared was back in 2k16, when it came to shoes, I feel like they just used the pandemic as an excuse to cover how badly the next gen release has gone tbh

As I put in my post I definitely expect a delay and I'm positive that the pandemic has affected updates as a whole (not just related to shoes).. I wouldn't necessarily categorize what I posted as a complaint since I'm not angry and it would never stop me from buying the game, its more or less confusion over implementation, I'm happy playing the game and having the options we currently have.. I guess my question is since none of us work for the company does it seem plausible that a company like Li-Ning or Anta provides two or three versions of a shoe as opposed to a company like Nike not sending a version of one of its marquee clients? Considering that marketing and sales is likely tied to this in some way
