Game's broken if you use the button to shoot. I don't play any other way. Can't make shots on superstar and I've got timing down. I can compete with the CPU just fine just miss a ton of open shots. The game doesn't reward you for taking good shots.

For offline users I am curious about one thing. I did not like how often you miss on non-green shots in the demo and it sounds like it’s still bad in the retail copy. But if you tried playing on Pro or Rookie and then loaded the sliders from SS would that impact the penalty on non-green?

Da Czar confirmed last year that the base difficulty you adjust your slides from does impact other things under the hood. So I wonder if you start from an easier difficulty and adjust sliders back if this would change non-green shooting percentages.

I'm talking wide open 3 pointers with a Ray Allen jumper that barely goes in. It's to the point where my teammates won't even pass me the ball after a while. How the heck do I have a 3 beside my name and I can't make any?!?! You're telling me the only way I can consistently hit 3s is if I go playing boring *** MyCareer and grind badges?!?! That's just crazy. Shooting has never been this irritating for me in a 2K game and I've played since the very first 2K.

            Will there be an update?

I play old-school style basketball and every time I face a 3pt-shooting team, I get smoked!

They make anywhere between 25-30 threes, which is unrealistic!

Is there a game setting/tips you guys can recommend? This game feels like I'm in some 3pt challenge at some all-star game.

Lol, in this thread we have a contingent of posters saying "shooting is way too easy" and another saying "shooting is way too hard" this pretty much encapsulates the dilemma that the devs face. One part of the community wants a sim game where the best shooters shoot 45% and the average shooters around about 30-35%, while another camp wants every well-timed shot to go in, even if it would result in people making 80-90% of their shots. At the same time there is the another debate between whether ratings or timing (and aim in 2k21) should matter more.

Really the 2k labs bar chart sums it up https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...6a&oe=5F92F719

It is too difficult to shoot in the 70-80 range, and too easy to shoot in the upper 80s+, they need to tweak the slope of their curves that convert shot make to shot ratings (note I think the <70 rating percentages are fine). This would greatly improve the build diversity by making builds that get in a 70-80 3 (and there are a lot) viable.
