I stand corrected. That's probably why I couldn't find anything on Ryan Anderson commentating.

Load times, foot planting, pre game all look awesome!

The movement and the gameplay didn't look that much better than what we have now.

For me, MyLeague features will determine whether I buy a new console and play this game, or just stick with NBA 2K19 on my PC, where I am perfectly happy.

I know Peter O'Keefe is the tutorial voice for NBA2k.
A second crew is huge for me. I would have been happy with the same crew but different packages, I wasn't expecting this. I play 12 min quarters in ML so presentation is a big thing for me. It's a video game so the commentary will inevitably become repetitive, but having a different voice (and hopefully package) will add to the overall presentation. I pop in College Basketball 10 from time to time during March Madness and it's amazing how far great presentation can carry a game. The actual hoops is rough but that presentation just sucks you in.

Re: NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Video From the Developers

At the end of day, I'm taking the information and videos at face value until I have the actual system and game in hand. I played the XB1, XB1S, and the XB1X this generation, and I noticed the graphical improvements and performance with each jump.

Right now, people are watching these videos under a microscope and are looking for things to be disappointed or mad about. To me, it was just gameplay video to show something. It wasn't a video to highlight anything in particular (AI, defense, offense). So, I just took in the information with a grain of salt.

            Spoiler

I'm completely with this. If people are disappointed and have criticisms that's fine. Nothing wrong with having that opinion.

For me and others we are going to enjoy all the positives we see instead of looking for and honing in on any negatives or short comings. I'm sure there will be things I dislike about the game once I get it and spend time with it but at the end of the day it's a videogame I play for fun. Games have flaws, always have always will. I've been playing and enjoying these games, despite their flaws, since 2k2 released on PS2 and this looks like it will be the best version to date. Hard for me to be upset.

My perspective is basically "what do I have to complain about?" Been playing games since NES and Sega Genesis. Hard for me to be upset because defensive AI isn't perfect or that a player's body type isn't completely accurate. People are free to be upset but for me, and probably others, these games are pretty much beyond anything I could have expected growing up playing these games.

This is not next gen effort. Lighting is playing tricks on a lot of people in these forums. The movement is too animation focused and makes the game look stiff. Underwhelming.

I agree. I have never viewed video games as "perfect" or supposed to be photorealistic when it comes to graphics. I just know that when I fire up my XBSX on my 4KTV with NBA 2K21, I will have little complaints. I'll probably complain more about my opponents than the game itself. I still stand by my belief that it's the gamers that make this game "terrible" and not the developers. Cheesers will cheese.

Y'all think "MyNBA" is the new MyLeague/MyGM or was he just referring to the companion app?

I hope it's a combination of the two and we get to choose which aspects we'd like to enable/disable. There are aspects of MyGM like the owner interaction and staff having badges that I have always wanted in MyLeague. ML spans 80 years. We need more interactivity.

Not as big of a leap as I expected. Kinda disappointed tbh.

2 commentary teams, that's awesome. What we really need though is more than one presentation/graphics package. One based on TNT, one based on Fox Sports, one based on NBC Sportsnet would be perfect!

You’re 100 correct. Saw that same old box and figured it was unchanged from last gen

Ok this is one of the complaints I do have to comment on. What exactly qualifies as "next gen effort"? What other next gen game has shown "next gen effort"?

And do people forget that there is a pandemic going on that undoubtedly impacted the development of this game? Who knows exactly how limited they were during development. Player scanning was definitely effected. I have to imagine motion capture and therefore the ability to improve animations and movement was effected or at least different compared to a normal development period.

I don't know, maybe it's just me but I'm basically giving all developers a little pass this year. The fact that we are getting next-gen games and systems this year at all is a bit amazing. It's difficult for me to be critical when I know none of these developers were able to work under typical work conditions.

You make the most sense. I don't get all the negativity. After they released the blogs there was complaining. After this short video there is complaining. How can you judge off of a 3 min video thats most likely on pro for easy scores?

I understand having some issues but I keep seeing the same names continously be negative towards the game lol. The same names. Someone said you keep defending. Well why does the same users constantly keep criticizing? You obviously don't like the game. Continue to have fun with current generation.

Never forget its a video game. When we have the game the guys that pre ordered will give you guys REAL feedback. Not feedback off of blogs and a 3 min video. Me personally I play to have fun. Some player getting stuck in a screen doesn't bother me. Somebody didn't provide help defense? I know its a game. Those load times! Can't wait! Can you imagine playing myleague games with no load times!?!?!?!?

Also looks great to me. Big improvements over current. Thats my opinion though. Will be a massive improvement playing it on a 4k TV though. Not watching a 1080p video from Twitter.
