Foot planting is noticable right away for me, player movement looks good. Curry step back looked authentic.

Zion lob looked great, but as an employee of an NBA arena I have to say the crowd atmosphere is always so disappointing in this game. Not even on ps5 can we get 10 fans to cheer about anything on the court. It truly boggles my mind.

Overall it will look and feel a bit different, but this "built from the ground up" I've heard before. Doesnt appear that much has changed, but we will see.

Couple things I noticed out the gate

      - Shot Feedback still doesn’t show BOTH aim and timing in regular modes, assume it will be like that for shoot around as well.

      - Jrue got sucked back onto that screen from Draymond

      - PnR defense looked soft on that alley oop but I think that’s more on the user getting switched to the help man and not moving. Draymond did a pretty good job alone on the last and 1.

      - Zion getting stuck running in place right before the and 1

Hopefully by 2k22 the slouched posture players default into gets cleaned up, things look so much better when players are standing straight when idle.

I am so ready for this game. November 12th can't come soon enough. I haven't even thought about touching PS4 2K21

I know Grant Hill does a little bit of broadcasting and does analyst work. Ryan Anderson caught me off guard, though. I cant find anything on him being commentator.

If it was on current gen, cool, but we expected a lot more on next-gen. We're not getting it. And please don't tell us to temper our expectations. It's the PS5. It's completely reasonable to be expecting more than we've seen.
No...the way people be complaining around here they WERE expecting every damn legacy issue to be addressed and EVERY player model to be spot on. So no, I disagree with your assessment that people weren't expecting some phenomenal leap in graphics and gameplay. My expectations were tempered a long time ago due to COVID-19 and most developers are working from home now. I work from home myself, so I know FOR FACT that the experience and resources available to you is no where near like it would be in the actual building. If we didn't have a pandemic happening, then yes...I would be expecting more, because they could have 100% dedicated time and effort to the current AND next-gen games.

Defenses to be reviewed, perhaps because they were played at a low level

                  2k18 fixes

Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)

Late contest on laups matter too much.

                  Random blocks doing pumpfakes.

Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.

Anyone here actually been to a real-life NBA game? Most people are not in their seats before the game starts period, and second, no one is jumping out of their seat 2 minutes into a game.

I get that, but, a Zion contact alley-oop dunk and the crowd will lose their minds even if its 2 seconds into the game

I’m just not a fan of the movement and foot planting

Ever since 2K17 or 2k18 The player movement has been really bad.

Take me for example...I'm just excited about the no/short loading screens, but the graphics look fine to me. However, I'm not one those people who expect "perfection" when it comes game art and movement. As long as it looks and plays good 99% of the time, I'm good to go. I have yet to play the "perfect" game.

You are their favorite type of consumer. “Looks fine”, “excited about no loading times”. You’re loyal to 2k, I’ll give you that.

I have a preorder, and game looks ok, but it just doesn’t have the wow factor the way last gen did. Maybe it’ll be a good game, but rn, looks like a minimal upgrade given all of the power of the ps5.

My exact thoughts. In 2k16 the movement and foot planting felt much better than 2k17 -2k20

It’s so weird that they downgraded that aspect and never improved it

That dude just responds to every negative 2k comment on these forums for some reason. Like any valid complaint ppl have, gets a reply. I think he might be on 2k’s payroll or something.

I think we asked for something like this years ago. Having different commentators for different venues. It's a good start! Maybe in the future they can have Dan Stevens and Peter O'Keefe back commentating! I know 2k is in development for a football game and they will most likely be there but it would be nice hearing those two commentating in a basketball game.

I know Peter O'Keefe is the tutorial voice for NBA2k.
