My head hurts reading some of the comments from this hashtag, the community doesn’t want a fun experience but a game that solely caters to their play style. As someone who plays ProAm/Rec/Park and Online Leagues. I think this a fun/good game. Yes it has some technical issues that I think will be ironed out , and contact dunks might be a bit OP , I don’t think the game warrants this response especially a hashtag as broad as this. Hopefully 2k sticks to their guns and not do a 180 on gameplay

It just sucks that users who predominantly play PARK aren't seeing the best parts of the game which is the way the NBA is captured, the simulation and other facets of the game. I think there’s a lot of meat here

I've not played the game yet, but I saw the hashtag trending this morning I guess I need to catch up on why they are complaining this year. I wish their was a way to just make 2 games and appease both crowds.

That's the thing, technically there are two games out right now. Next-gen and Current-gen. For the complainers that want dribbling to be changed back to the way it was, all they have to do is play CURRENT GEN.

Mike Wang and the devs absolutely have to stick to their guns concerning next-gen gameplay. Otherwise this will happen every single year and they will get bullied into making a game that they DON'T actually want to make. I'm tired of it. The 2K player base that actually wants to play basketball is tired of it.

Seriously who's in charge of attributes over there at 2k? Attributes don't seem to matter at all. Again they should look into just forgetting about attributes and just go badge all the way. They have 100 already so might as well. APF2k8 system might work.

Both 2klab and 2ktutes ran tests on interior defense and found no difference in the shot contest rating between a 25 and 99

Their tests also showed almost no difference between 25 and 99 close shot, and people have been consistently getting steals with a 25 rating. So basically the only 3 "weaknesses" of these 6'7 pf builds aren't actually weaknesses. Hopefully this gets addressed.

I really want to assume that 2K isn't stupid enough to listen to a video that was clearly just made for likes. Kid ain't mention one thing wrong with the game. Just yelled in a pre-pubescent voice that makes it seem worse than it actually is.

I really hope they're not this stupid. I've seen more reasoned arguments on there that they should listen to, but honestly, I think they need to have a gameplay director who makes post-release blogs, explaining why the game plays like it does. Stick to your guns and defend your actions, instead of just patching the game every 2 weeks until the next release.

The hashtag is silly if only because it's a buckshot approach to something. With hashtags they need to have focus and be a precision shot. Using a shotgun on it doesn't help because then the devs have to siphon through mountains of garbage to try and figure out what it's even about, and then it gets co-opted anyway etc. So then it's just noise with a mix of bad PR, but then you got PR being like "uhhh well I guess we have to respond to this somehow?" But the response won't be good enough anyway because the hashtag itself was confusing because people made it about what each individual wanted it to be about haha.

Yeah that's called realism dude i.e. momentum, foot planting, not this artificial "speed burst" like you're a cartoon character.

This is the problem. You have influential popular accounts with 50K or 100K+ subs or followers broadcasting their ignorance to the masses who don't know any better. This is why the gameplay doesn't progress as expected and why 2K can't filter the feedback correctly. Stop listening to the idiots and just listen to studying basketball film for cues on how to make the game. Most of these content people just want the game to be easy and arcadey so they can create easy content and pretend they're good so viewers will watch their vids.
