And so it begins...Content Creators have started complaining about Next Gen Gameplay

I knew it wasn't going to take long. But once again, 2K puts out a really solid product and the "content creators" take to Twitter to say how bad the game is. I swear 2K better not cave this time and change things. They have two versions of 2K21 out this. There is literally no excuse to dumb down the game that just came out on brand new consoles

We really need a voice to help combat theirs. Mike Wang LISTENS to these guys and its soooooooo frustrating as someone that wants the game to represent real basketball. Is it possible to do something about this before 2K caves to their complaints?
    Lineup:
    PG) Gary Payton
    SG) '95-'96 Michael Jordan
    SF) Sapphire Scottie Pippen
    PF) '95-'96 Dennis Rodman
    C) Hakeem Olajuwon

But the game isnt perfect and not built from the ground up like claimed. I'm offline only player(coming from pc) and the game has its issues.

    1. Pick and roll is too easy.
    2. Contact dunks need to be toned down.
    3. Cpu still doesn't run a challenging offense.
    4. Offensive rebounding needs tweaking
    5. Cpu still dribbling mindlessly into the paint with no regard(much better though)
    6. Players still ice skating/warping(better than previous gen)

Probably the best 2k in a while but still plagued by legacy issues.

Cpu iq is still last gen is my biggest issue.

Some of you all need to let the "Built from the ground up" comment go. At this point, who gives a ****? Either you like the game, or you don't.

At least AnnoyingTV gave reasons for his opinion and did make a few points, the other guys seem to be complaining just to complain.

I'm not surprised. I would agree there are issues and other people's perspectives interest me but the whole last gen 2k21 is better comment, is pretty hard to take seriously. I guess it's possible someone could feel that way but it sounds fishy to me lol.

People arent dumb and they know being negative for the sake of being negative generally garnishes more attention. Add to that the fact that crapping all over video games is really en vogue right now and like I said this doesnt surprise me.

In a perfect world I guess Mike Wang and crew would ignore the static and try to improve things brought up in a more productive and constructive way, but history says they will cater more to the angry mob.

It's kind of ironic because the truth is that's what content creators are doing as well, catering to the angry mob. Not as many people are inclined to click on a dude gushing about how awesome 2k is, but everyone clicks on content that's trashing it.

Its the world we live in unfortunately and it's hard to deny that there is a massive amount of people that seem to love being outraged so I think we just have to get used to it and cross our fingers that they dont patch all the good stuff out.

Hundreds of thousands of people have the game not everyone is going to like it, you pick a few negative comments from Twitter out of the overwhelmingly majority good impressions.

Problem is that the ones complaining are 2k influencers. 2k listens to them while the sim heads gets shafted.

Only thing I've noticed while watching streams that looks overpowered are contact dunks. I would also add 3 point shots but the devs seems to have a hard on for those and at this point its pointles to complain about it.

I give a ****. "Built from the ground up" was basically used for everything they promised prior to release while theres tons of stuff thats not "built from the ground up" and the game still has a lot legacy problems. Annoying makes some valid points, sliding/warping, clunky animations that need finetuning, broken myplayer progress. 2k once again released an unfinished product, this company is just pathetic...

Nah, don't let it go, learn from it.

I don't know if people are being willfully obtuse because it's 2K when it comes to that quote, or if they genuinely thought 2K was completely dumping all previous assets and solving every legacy issue in a year and a half.

You're going to keep hearing "built from the ground up" when it comes to next gen releases. It means the game was optimized for next gen performance. The fact that I can get in the City and on a square before I could even get in the beach last gen means they delivered on that promise, lol

If anything, 2K gave us more than that. Their release is includes new modes and a new experience all together. Like I said before, Spiderman Miles Morales was "built from the ground up" as well...no new levels or modes included. 2K is on some **** sometimes, absolutely. This game has ISSUES. 100%. but facts are facts.

I'm going to do my part to make sure I don't "2K16" this game though, and not give it it's flowers while its here...this is a good game right now.

i can confirm all the fantasy modes like park and myteam have contact dunk issues because they are fantasy's low difficulty modes tbh. I don't see that issues in PNO

I don’t think it’s that way because of low difficulty. More so due to the Super juiced ratings of cards and myplayers . Everyone has a 95 dunk now unfortunately lol

Content creators complain because they cant do the same thing theyve always done every year to build their audience. They want the game to play in a familiar fashion every year but will then complain “that nothing is different. We literally paid for a roster update”. 2K should not cave in to these guys man. Like stated before the only real “game breaking” thing that need to be fixed for online PVP modes is contact dunks.

As for offline guys, it has already been stated that a fix is on the way for Pick and roll AI defense. All other things can be and have to be unfortunately adjusted by the user to cater it to your liking. Its impossible to have the AI play in a way that everyone will universally accept as realistic. But thankfully we have pretty much everything available to “fix” that. I agree you shouldnt have to but thats life man. (And this comes from a guy that spends 3-4 months every year making a completely ficitonal league just because i realize and accept that the AI Lebron james will NEVER play like the real lebron james)

                        TLDR
The game is good out of the box this year. People need to be patient and adjust. There are a few areas that need to be tweaked and hopefully are before christmas

same on park mode. No disrespect to fans of those modes but they are build ot make $$$ for 2k. The Casals bring in the most cash so the over the top antics are what's considered "fun".

I agree with you I think it's great out of the box this year (for me an offline player) Whether I'm doing myNBA franchise (sonics or raptors) or myCareer (just got on raps) it's been a great experience. Playing myCareer in the nba is so much better this year imo, it's super immersive and rewarding but felt too grindy before that.

Question for anyone though, can you play as only one guy in non myplayer modes? I know I can position-lock but for some games I'd like to 'player lock' as Shawn Kemp for example
