1. Pick and roll is too easy.
2. Contact dunks need to be toned down.
3. Cpu still doesn't run a challenging offense.
4. Offensive rebounding needs tweaking
5. Cpu still dribbling mindlessly into the paint with no regard(much better though)
6. Players still ice skating/warping(better than previous gen)
This is I'm seeing in almost all gameplay video watched.

Yeah. I stopped watching Agent Zero, because it seems like ALL he does is complain about NBA 2K21.Comment

Exactly! Common sense says...if you can't play defense, you're going to get dunked on.Comment

Play the game and change the sliders. I've said this before, but the videos didn't do this game justice. Yes, there are some tweaks that can only be made by the devs, but NBA 2K21 has EASILY been the game that I've been playing the most since I got my next-gen console last week.1. Pick and roll is too easy.

Re: And so it begins...Content Creators have started complaining about Next Gen Gamep
They have a right to complain. Has anybody in here actually played the game? And No I'm not talking about offline players. This is strictly online. The current state of this game is pretty bad. The City is damn near unplayable due to framerate and chop issues. You're forced to play on Broadcast camera to get somewhat smooth gameplay. Patch 1 dropped to fix the issue and it didn't do anything but make it worse. That's inexcusable.
Badge-less players are walking into the Jordan Rec Center shooting from damn near half court and can green at a pretty high clip. Shooting hasn't been this easy in quite some time. The shot contest system is almost nonexistent as well. Sliders need to be adjusted to balance gameplay.
False. I have 26 Defensive badges plus max strength going up against players with 0 strength and still get posterized. Contact Dunks do happen way too often.
For a change Content Creators are calling 2k out on the issues rather than kissing *** saying it's a great game when it's not. Next Gen has a lot of potential but 2k has a nice bit of work to do to fix all the issues in the game. Seems there have been quite a few clueless responses in here. If you actually played the game you'd know some of the negative feedback is accurate.Comment

Re: And so it begins...Content Creators have started complaining about Next Gen Gamep
I have and play the game.
I don't want to speak for Earv, but I'm pretty sure the premise of the thread wasn't "people shouldn't have complaints", it's moreso the ever present worry that YTers influence the change the core of the game within less than a week of it being out. He didn't say anything about the Parks choppiness etc , which I would love to see more YTers speak on tbh...its awful RN
As far as what Annoying actually spoke on-
I disagree with the movement being "poor", players just have more weight to them...ots a welcome addition. Paint Beasts aren't getting clamp badges anymore and walling up PGs.
Iso is meta and "screens don't work". I'm not sure what that means exactly, but the Curry slide and orbit around a pick method is less effective this gen. Its what a lot of people asked for. I'm not going to cry too hard about that. People will find a different way.
He has badges and is saying shooting is too inconsistent and RNG....direct contrast to the above post...but its all subjective.
The contact dunks being toned down I can agree with, but there are some VERY popular "comp" YTers that told everyone to put their inside defense at 25 because it wasn't important, when a dev clearly stated how important attributes were this gen. Everyone's on the "Look how many badges I have spread!" kick and getting killed.
I have 95 interior D and gold Intimidator and hold the paint down with a 6'11 stretch, lolComment

Re: And so it begins...Content Creators have started complaining about Next Gen Gamep
I hate the hyperbole of it all. Of course there are areas that need improvement, that's going to happen with any game. But the over dramatic "this is the worst 2k ever! Next gen 2k is dog ****" makes the game out to be something it's not.
I also wish people would be more specific about their complaints because the experience can differ depending on the mode and various settings. Some gameplay issues might be universal where as others might have to do with the mode being played, the difficulty, various other settings, ratings, tendencies, badges, etc.
The game hasn't even been out a week. Let's not jump to conclusions about what is broken. Can we at least spend some time with the game, maybe figure out why certain things appear broken, and then work on a fix? I don't want 2K rushing out a patch that maybe fixes once perceived problem but then creates new problems or for them to adjust something that is actually working as intended but make a change due complaints from a certain community.Comment

Reading this just made me irrationally angry. Please tell me that you're not playing as a center.

This is what I'm saying. People need to explain where they are experiencing these issues and perhaps under what conditions. I'm not saying these issues aren't universal, I haven't played the game enough at this point to make any sort of assessment, but I wouldn't want the offline NBA gameplay altered due to a perceived gameplay issue people are experiencing online in the park or a similar mode. I just feel like the gameplay can differ depending on mode as well as various other settings and conditions.Comment

Re: And so it begins...Content Creators have started complaining about Next Gen Gamep
This is where I'm at too. I get sooooooooooooooooooooooo sick and tired of when people jump on the bandwagon "This game is broke", and then the game is patched into a totally DIFFERENT game than what it was a launch. I will agree with the PnR, alley-oops, and contact dunks being a tad bit OP. HOWEVER, if you're one of those damn fools that threw all your points into everything else BUT defense...well DUH! You're going to get posterized.I hate the hyperbole of it all. Of course there are areas that need improvement, that's going to happen with any game. But the over dramatic "this is the worst 2k ever! Re: And so it begins...Content Creators have started complaining about Next Gen Gamep
I knew it wasn't going to take long. But once again, 2K puts out a really solid product and the "content creators" take to Twitter to say how bad the game is. I swear 2K better not cave this time and change things. They have two versions of 2K21 out this. There is literally no excuse to dumb down the game that just came out on brand new consoles

We really need a voice to help combat theirs. Mike Wang LISTENS to these guys and its soooooooo frustrating as someone that wants the game to represent real basketball. Is it possible to do something about this before 2K caves to their complaints?
They need to bring back arcade mode for these guysComment

Add my name to the list...of people who think this game plays great on PS5. I'm just waiting for a post-draft roster, then starting MyNBA.
Mike Wang and the entire 2K team does such a phenomenal job with this game--it is a huge reason I've never done sliders for this game.
These guys get it. I wish like hell other sports gaming studios did.@MikeLowe47 | YouTube | Discord

Re: And so it begins...Content Creators have started complaining about Next Gen Gamep
People genuinely thought 2k was going to throw away 100% of their previous gen work and start over from scratch because of that quote. Why they thought this, I have no clue.
I wish I was wrong, but judging from how many people across Reddit and OS keep bringing it up like it was some sort of grand 2k lie to fool them into buying the game, I'm not wrong.
It's like everyone is fine with the fact that 2k MyCareer is essentially a giant pay-to-win scheme, but 2k saying they built a game for next gen then it looking a little too similar to last gen is an unforgivable insult.
