It's honestly like these guys want to just hate on the game every year to show how much influence they have over 2K when they inevitably bend over to their whining.

I don't get how you can dislike this game. But then again I don't play My Career or Park or whatever.

2k YouTubers don't care about the realism in the game or how realistic the game is. They just want the game to cater to them as in they can make all their shots even with the defense on them like flies on sh*t. But also when they're defender is taking a wide open 3, they must miss the shot or otherwise it's not a skill gap in the game if they make it.

They cry like babies because the neighborhood was the same (honestly, I wish the neighborhood didn't exist, it should just be matchmaking. Take them got next spots away) but the rec center been the same for 3 years now. No changes. No improvements. Same glitches. Same court. Why is it 3 other courts of Ai players? Why don't we have actual places to play at in the rec?

Drew league? Crawford league? Rucker park? Somewhere.

Welp! I might as well get prepared for a new game in a couple of weeks. This will be...what...5 years in a row where the gameplay was mostly descent out of the box, but then it was patched into a totally different game due Twitter whiners?
Unfortnately, that's how all video gaming goes... the majority of players(or at least those with the loudest voices) mostly just want a non stop low effort experience where they can "dominate" without really having to try.

It's not just 2K either....it's one of the reasons why some of the most popular maps on games like CoD are often just open fields with little cover or narrow tunnels where players can just spam machine gun fire or explosives to get rewarded with easy multi kills.

Yeah that's called realism dude i.e. momentum, foot planting, not this artificial "speed burst" like you're a cartoon character.

This is the problem. You have influential popular accounts with 50K or 100K+ subs or followers broadcasting their ignorance to the masses who don't know any better. This is why the gameplay doesn't progress as expected and why 2K can't filter the feedback correctly. Stop listening to the idiots and just listen to studying basketball film for cues on how to make the game. Most of these content people just want the game to be easy and arcadey so they can create easy content and pretend they're good so viewers will watch their vids.
Everyone is running 6-7 PF and using them like point guards. Of course it’s going to feel weird. This is the best 2K in years. 2K will figure out the server side.

haha he must have taken a few losses last night. That's all this stuff is really about they cant adjust to the new game. All these guys are whining about dribbling but the guy who they copied everything from down to animations(steezo) is just working on his game.

If people are strictly online only they need to realize the game is not made just for them. What they may like is not what another player may like so whining to 2k to fix stuff is not going to make everyone happy. Just adjust to it.

If you are offline use the damn sliders, no reason not to as you can get a game to your liking but it will take a lot of testing.

When Smoove speaks on it then you KNOW it's a major issue. So far i'm loving this game and any changes to "dumb it down" would be a huge mistake by 2K. Of course its not perfect and needs a few small tweaks here and there. But it's definitely a very solid game.

Dribbling feels amazing and realistic. You can get where you want to go with the right moves and it doesn't feel cheesy. I really hope the devs only change a few things like contact dunks and slight buff to shot contests and don't really change anything else.
                      Lineup:
                      PG) Gary Payton
                      SG) '95-'96 Michael Jordan
                      SF) Sapphire Scottie Pippen
                      PF) '95-'96 Dennis Rodman
                      C) Hakeem Olajuwon

The "Got Next" in REC was another reason why I didn't jump into MyCareer for a long time.

                          1) I wasn't trying to watch a whole game before I was able to play
                          2) It was stupid that you could get bumped out of your spot by a squad, so you basically waited for nothing.

I remember arguing about that nonsense with other people. I have been playing basketball since the mid 80's, and I NEVER seen a case where five people showed up and took a person's next. Dudes would fight over their next. Period. It was nothing for someone to have 2 people already, then grabbed two more off the losing team.

The thing is... About 95% of this game player base never played basketball in real life. That's why they like the got next Spots in the first place. It gives them the illusion they actual hoopers.

The best thing they done to the rec is uniforms and matchmaking.

Park should follow. Well not with the uniforms but with matchmaking. Live has it perfect

The movement feels so stiff in #NBA2K21 compared to other 2Ks
I have a difficult time believing this is true (the Twitter quote). I just got back into playing 2K20 and a lot of the movement is stiff. It'd be hard to believe 2K21 would somehow be worse on that front.

I know a lot of folks like to instantly write off that rigidity as "that's real life, dude" but there's a happy medium between zero momentum and being stuck in quicksand while you wait for your body to respond to your brain's input.

I wouldn't be surprised if 2K21 hasn't completely moved beyond any and all rigidity experienced in 2K20 but I'm encouraged by some of the improvements I've seen floating about. Historically, I've noticed 2K's engine has a lot of north-south fluidity but things can begin feeling clunky in more precise slots. I think it's something we've all grown used to over the years but when the day finally comes where player movement takes that next next step, I think a lot of us are going to look back and wonder how we so readily accepted some of the clunkiness we've rolled with over the years.

I agree that Park should have a form of matchmaking, but I don't think it should be forced matchmaking. Let people be snobs if they want to be. Personally, I don't feel like wandering and standing around for 20 minutes just to play for 5-10 minutes.
