What is the best way to play on ball next gen & stop the blow by & side by layups? Also what right dpad settings do ya'll use? Because when I lay & chose & set my playbooks up, I don't have time to go thru the individual def settings. Also wish there was more time put on the timer. Your thoughts And one more thing when to hold or tap L2 playing d.

Lay off L2. It has been completely nerfed into the ground on next gen. Only press L2 when you need to hold your ground, or when you need to quickly stop and change direction (especially when defending away from the ball).
On-ball defense is basically just using the left stick and right stick, sprinting only when you need to aggressively cut off the lane or get back into position. Mirror the dribbler's movement with the left stick to stay in front, and press the right stick toward the dribbler when you think they might start a shot or layup. -

Some players like Luka, Giannis and Lebron are hard to stop every time, but i found that if you put a decent strong defender on them, you can bump and cut them off a little easier. Holding LT moving side to side can get you blown by if you don't have good distance and the right angle. Honestly with lag and sliding defense has been tough. What is the best way to play on ball next gen & stop the blow by & side by layups? Also what right dpad settings do ya'll use?
