It's the same team versus brand answers. What I like about the offline MyCareer is the practice and progression system. I like the straightforward single player focused progression system, even though I don't like the Road to 99 and starting at 60 OVR. Past several years I played, I always say I will do a Player Lock, but never do. Even this past year, I said for 2k22, I would do a Player lock if MyCareer offline doesn't improve
Yeah practice facility/badge progression stuff is my favorite part of the offline MyCareer every year. Really want them to transfer that stuff into MyNBA somehow. The mentorship idea for badge progression in MyNBA is cool, but I feel like the MyCareer setup would be so much better.

Most of the online only aren't interested in the story and only want to play the MyCareer games to grind. Even in the W career mode, you start off around a 70 and pretty much progression quickly. I wouldn't mind the grind in MyCareer if I started at 75 OVR with nearly maxed physical ratings from the jump
And yeah exactly. I'm actually really interested in what the offline portion of MyCareer looks like this year. From everything they've said about MyCareer so far it seems like they've recognized most online MyCareer players don't like the offline portion and only play it b/c they're 'forced' to to grind up faster. Holding out hope that the recognition means both sides (offline and online) can be served better. We'll see.

That's why wonder what rewards could be gained in Seasons that would benefits offline MyCareer. Seasons seem to definitely benefit the online MyCareer. But what about the grind of offline MyCareer. Even things like Skill Points boosts, Gatorade boosts, Badge Point boosts, all help. After you max badges and get to the point where you are grinding to next overall unlock, the offline portion starts to drag

I play MyTeam offline, so Seasons were great as far and themes and concepts for new players/cards. There were cool goals to achieve and challenges to beat. Maybe with MyCareer seemingly moving away from the heavy story mode, there will be more focus on finding interesting ways to progress..
