In line with the question, I would genuinely be curious to see how many users play the WNBA mode.
With a limited amount of resources (both time and money) available towards the improvement of a game released annually, I think the question merits an answer.
Well said. From a business perspective it seems like a weird decision to dedicate so many resources towards the WNBA side of the game. The WNBA is obviously not a very successful league. It doesn't typically bring in good crowds, bring in many eyeballs on TV, etc. It's fair to ask why 2k is choosing to prioritize it.

Maybe they have data that shows the WNBA gameplay is popular enough to dedicate these resources to it. Maybe they aren't doing it for primarily financial reasons, but it is more of a "want to" type of deal.

Given the demand of each product, the NBA and the WNBA, compared to one another and compared to other sports, there is no comparison. The WNBA is not popular at all, but maybe this is an effort to change that.

It’s been a failed business venture for 2 decades now, the nba needs to stop catering to the woke crowd that doesn’t support their league.

I understand a lot of this board skews (significantly)older, but nothing about this forum is a welcoming environment for anybody who isn't white or a man and that's just in my experiences lurking the madden and 2k boards for years. I'm not surprised, just making observations.

I'm glad to see 2K continue to add more depth to the WNBA mode. My wife enjoys playing it and the last thing 2K doesn't need is for the WNBA to remain stagnant the same way EA did when they had it their last two installments.

Come hard at the people who don't follow the TOS. We have a good bar of discussion at OS and we should never aspire to become 4chan.

Back on topic, I'm interested. I enjoy playing as the WNBA teams as a nice change of pace and it's good that 2K isn't treating them as an afterthought. It can definitely be a great tool to gain more fans through osmosis as well as giving a bone to WNBA fans who also play 2K.

Glad they added the ability to join up and play with friends in The W. I would have played this mode more last year, just as a fun change of pace, but not being able to team up with friends soured a lot of my interest.

If All-Star Team Up is added back in this year (please, oh please, let it be back), my friends and I will have a lot more options for playing together in 22.

It's really sad reading some of these comments, Like yes 2k is putting a fare amount of resources into this mode lol if any gaming company can do it its 2k they probably have massive team with millions  in the budget thanks from a large part being  VC. I actual tried the MYWNBA mode and it was fun and different ,like many ppl have said already you don't have to play it stick to what you like but when you get bored of that mode try something else . You're paying full price for a game and only play 1 or 2 modes lol come one

People really trying to claim WNBA is “taking away resources.” So what was happening all those years y’all complained about 2K and there was no WNBA to “take resources” lmao.

WNBA MyCareer should be like 360/PS3 era MyCareer with press conferences. If they did that I'd play it more.

Seriously man. I've been missing the old version of MyCareer 2k11-2k13. I've actually stopped playing 2K21 on my PS5 and went back to my 360 to play the old Myplayer/MyCareer in 2K11-2K14. I'd play the WNBA a lot more often if it was identical to that.
