Hopefully they ended that 5 minute banter between commentator and players where they forget that the game is going on

Hopefully the commentary is getting similar love and attention that the PA announcers are receiving. I know commentators in real life will banter and discuss topics separate from the action on the court but sometimes in 2K it's like I'm listening to a podcast or sports radio segment rather than an actual broadcast.

I get what you all are saying but the reality is, that's so prominent in today's television broadcasts.

Video games used to be more like radio broadcasts detailing every action on the court, but that's not really an accurate portrayal of today's commentary.

I definitely see myself toggling between "Nationally Televised" games with the commentary on and "In Arena Experience" with commentary off to get the full effect of the PA announcers. Def adds immersion to the game!

I think part of the issue too is the actual sound quality. The commentary sounds like it was pre-recorded in a studio opposed to being part of an actual live broadcast. There has to be something they can do to make it sound more accurate to a tv broadcast. I feel like this is something the Live series typically handled a little bit better, along with crowd noise.

True but it's a video game. It gets severely repetitive listening to the same banter for a year. I just turn it off cause it gets soooooo annoying.

I especially hate when exciting plays are happening but they ignore it and keep yapping about the same stuff over and over and over. I rather have radio broadcast if its uninterrupted banter.

Matt Thomas for the Houston Rockets wasn't seen or heard in the trailer, but he is included. Ryan Cameron was dropped by the Atlanta Hawks, so they might have a generic PA announcer. We have followed up with 2K to get clarification.

Waiting for this update. I know Big Tigger is the new PA announcer but idk if they were able to get him in. I wonder how 2K will handle it. Maybe they will still keep the "for threeeeeee" and the hawk screech sound effect.

Yeah we all have our preferences at the end of the day. The standard "Player X passes the ball, takes the shot etc. etc." doesn't do it for me personally. I also don't play a lot of seasons with regular teams, so maybe the repetitiveness doesn't hit me as hard

but I definitely agree regarding 2K's audio mixing on certain things....can be much better.

As a Kings fan our PA guy was answering questions on twitter. Says he did this for over a year and a half. Did names for every player in the league. So if you trade for someone they can get the same treatment. Also did names in several different ways.

EDIT: No more headband for RJ. 2k is awful when it comes to accessory updates. I was expecting to see RJ wearing a headband for another 3 years on 2k before they change it.

                              Wow !!!

This is quite the addition by 2k in the presentation department. Hats off to them…

That garbage can sounding dunk is still in the game unfortunately. Oh well baby steps...
