Re: What are your biggest issue for you?
For me it's the "green or miss" mechanic of shooting threes. You either green the shot or you will miss it. I am keeping numbers for both my (human) opponents and me, and for open shots that are not very early/late non greens are going in slightly below 20 %. Also there is only a very small difference between early/late and slightly early/late with slightly going in at 21 %.
Why is this a problem? Well, average shooters without badges are not greening that many open shots. And if they are not green, the shot is not going in. On the other hand, good shooters with badges are both getting much more green, but also slighly shots are going in better. This results in a disparity of shooting percentage of like 20-25 % for average shooters that shoot like 30-35 % in the NBA vs 50+ or even 60+ % for good shooters that shoot 40 % in the NBA.
Maybe it can be fixed by increasing the difficulty or lowering the 3pt slider, so there are less green, while simultaneously decreasing the shot timing malus slider to make slightly shots go in more often.Comment

Fast breaks. The speed cap, the hitch when you gather in the open floor. Other than that, Im loving this game.Comment

I can’t upload images to Team Relocation. Or it’s just very delayed (several hours).Comment

Has to be joining up to play with friends.
It's sometimes a 15-20 minute process to get started, and resets when someone gets kicked.

Re: What are your biggest issue for you?
- The removal of the broadcast generic cam.
- Bigs and horrible defenders staying in front of elite ball handlers.
- The slowing down of offensive players on fast breaks allowing slow defenders to catch up and contest what should be an open layup/dunk.
- Offensive rebounds still OP.
- The worst is the pound the ball inside strategy the computer continues to employ for the fourth 2k in a row. Clearly not how the NBA plays.

Re: What are your biggest issue for you?
Felt like simply holding up on RS would shut down post moves around 60-70 of the time last year, registering as a heavy contest. That's not taking into account body blocks which have been horrible since 2K18.
It feels like there's actually a need to make moves this year to me.

You think so?

I watched a video done by Sam Pham on YouTube who said right stick only contests don’t work. You have to jump to contest for it to affect anything.Comment

Re: What are your biggest issue for you?
I meant in previous titles. Post defenders didn't have to think, and were if anything awarded for mistimed jumps.
I like that post mismatches are exploitable
Someone here mentioned Kawhis contests weren't registering on LBJ. I haven't seen a egregious example like that, but I that's the case it should definitely be tweaked.

Oh I know, I think that's a good thing. Depends on their attributes.

I can’t speak as much for the past few years, but I know it was this exact same way in 2K17. I remember playing a number of people online who literally only took inside shots. If you didn’t time your block perfectly, it was a make. Essentially every time.
Shot contest not affecting inside shots just leads to popcorn defense. Hoping that you time the jump correctly and that it’s not a pump fake you are jumping for. With how bad double team logic is and how ineffective they are once they get there, that’s not really a way to mitigate it either. None of that reflect actual basketball. Simply walling up will have SOME impact on a shot.
Shot contests should have more impact that not contesting at all, but not as much impact as timing a block attempt correctly. It doesn’t appear to be the case right now.Comment

Re: What are your biggest issue for you?
MyNBA player. My biggest issues:
1. Shooting. It's either "green or miss", and I hate that mechanic they have had for years now. I don't know what game people are playing that are talking about shooting is too easy. Maybe it's easier online? idk, but playing MyNBA on Hall of Fame, or even Superstar, the shooting is atrocious. I played a game last night where I shot 14% from 3's. I'm using a bad team (Orlando Magic), and I admit that not *every* shot I took was a good shot, but many of them were. My highest rated 3 point shooter (Terrence Ross) went 0-6. 14% 3 point shooting is not what an NBA team shoots, even bad teams. I don't expect to be 40% shooting with the Orlando Magic, but there is a big gap between 40% and 14%. 3-22 is what I went. If the shot isn't a dunk or a layup, it's not going in. It makes for a rather unrealistic experience where I am just spamming pick & roll drives to the basket for dunks, and every other aspect of the game is removed.
2. 90+'s G-League players. A whole list of potential free agents ranging from 90 - 97 are available on the free agent market. Apparently teams don't go after them during the season, but I don't want a bunch of 90+'s invading my NBA in the off-season.
3. Post game, related to shooting. I do a lot of pick & roll, so I get a lot of defensive switches which leads to mismatches. I often get my center guarded by a point guard. If I'm using a center to post up a point guard in the paint, why is my center A. falling away to do a fadeaway shot when I am pressing him towards the basket and B. the center should win this matchup a majority of the time, but far too often the center just clanks it off the rim for a missed shot, defensive rebound, failed possession. I don't want to say it should be 100% because nothing should be 100%, but if I force a mismatch and am posting up a point guard in the paint with a center, the center should win that matchup more often than not.
4. In game quick sub / gameplan / play call menu is now less user friendly than it was in the past. In years past, I go to the quick sub menu, and my players on the court had a button assigned to them, so say I wanted to swap out my PG, I just hit A (X-Box), then it brings up a new menu with my bench players all having a button assigned to them, my backup point guard having the same button, so it's as easy as hitting A -> A to swap out my point guard. Now you have to scroll through the menu for subs / gameplan adjustments / playcalls which takes longer than before and is less efficient.Current Franchise: NBA2K22 | Orlando Magic (1-2)
