I thought that too but after lowering players who had their shot tendency at 90+, the CPU was running more players for others and helped with the distribution of FGA among teammates.

Well I had edited my roster so that I have every single player’s Play Discipline Tendency at 50. On Default, only star players had their Play Discipline at a very low number which causes these players to look to score and diverge from the actual play. Perhaps that’s the reason why I’m not seeing what you’re seeing?

Doubt it. Play discipline shouldn't matter. It's offensive play calling that's messed up. It's like someone at 2k programed this for each team.
I've seen a lot people talking about what I've been seeing.

That’s too bad you’re experiencing this, I’m having tons of fun and seeing a lot of variety on offense displayed by the opposing CPU team esp with all the changes I’ve made. Just waiting on the Official Opening Day roster to be be released to start MyNBA after knowing what changes to make for the game to play well.

Do you have a roster available so we can test these changes as well?

I'm currently using Smirkin Dirk's roster and have been having some awesome games so far.

              Midrange 60
              3PT 60

CPU does all kinds of jumpers off the screen. Donovan Mitchell was working me with step backs and all. I didn’t know if he was going to drive for that dunk or shoot. Love this thread
What do you have attack the basket at? Still at default 50? I have been playing with close shot at 43 and same for inside and I have 3pt and midrange at 100 and I am still not seeing enough 3 pointers. Paint is not to bad though. I may try close and inside at 0 for a game just to see what happens.

Are those rosters ps5 or xbox? Also how are 3 pointers looking? At times CPU I have a hard time getting them to take enough 3 pointers.

XBX. I only play 6 minute quarters and have slightly tweaked sliders but the CPU get a decent amount of 3s, with pretty low PIP. Still having issues getting FT's but it's just something I've given up on trying to get realistic.

I'll try posting some box scores when I play next.

Oh ok I am on ps5 and I am not sure like what rosters are considered like really good on ps5. Yeah FT I don't think can be fixed I think its more of just a game problem has there are a lot of contact on jump shots that should be called a foul but don't get called. So I think its more of animation happens for a foul its jut not called.

I might share my base rosters for those who want to test it. Mind you it’s a testing base roster with no accessory updates

They matter in 19. Back then default rosters tend to attack the paint in transition. Need to adjust a couple of the tendencies to make them run to the corners instead, and shoot. Was glad the offensive tendencies worked as it should be.

The cpu would run some early offense for the star players if unable to get an open shot.

We would hardly see charges called in gameplay. Defense tendencies didnt work.

I'm referring to adjusting the players' tendencies, each and everyone. Pain in a** esp for those from 99 to 0

Btw if this is being done on purpose with the CPU running plays for the “2 best players” then perhaps you will have to edit the roster to even out the overall rating so maybe there are 3-4 players in the starting lineup that had equal overalls to force the CPU to run plays for all of them?

I don’t really see that as a huge problem. Running plays for doesn’t equate to shots for.

Also nearly every team only has a few guys they run plays for.

Noticed the Main Page patch addressed the issue of cpu defenders sagging off 3pt shooters in the corners at the beginning of the games before the first team’s timeout as well as more strip/steal animations when going up for a shot in the post. Good stuff!

Ugh im seeing the issue now when playing the Pacers. The CPU is running plays for Brogdon and Sabonis and basically ignoring LeVert, Warren and Turner.

I’m going to lower Brogdon’s shooting tendencies across the board and see if that works so that he’s not taking shots away from LeVert and Warren.
