ha. Already. Can you imagine having to look out for Pritchard. A backup PG who is small and not a very good defender or explosive athlete.

I'm not trying to under value your concerns here. Like I said this sounds a rare out come. We can't expect there never ever to be a block here. I feel like a change here would cause more harm than good.

I’m on Series X and today I’ve noticed every player has turned into Stretch Armstrong or Neo ignoring physics on defense in intercepting passes on All-Star level.

They’re reaching waaaay across the intended target to get the ball, igniting a rocket up their *** to run past my targeted player to the spot once the pass is initiated, or making a move in one direction and somehow instantly jumping back the other direction to steal. Had this happen every now and then various times in previous 2k’s but today I find myself pulling up replays every few trips down the court trying to figure out what’s going on.

You are an og on the board. No offense taken. I have mixed feelings about the defense. I think the online experience has been good, but the cpu experience not so much. I also think every game mode has a different experience. So watching low rated defenders play great defense is bothersome to me.

But I do agree that the occasional random play is not a problem.

Everything should have been a nice smooth fluid catch & release dunk.
Nah this is not the only problem I can't tell who's the number 73 big man but he almost starts his chasedown from the three throw line
To this we add the extension of his arms which takes up too much space. This gives a clip that looks unrealistic

Pritchard had 9 blocks last season.

Vanvleet has over 100 blocks in his career.

Midget nate has 45 blocks in his career.

Guess when it all happend it wasent real basketball?

I had my first game of the year against one of those squads that plays zone the whole time spamming steals to try to get in all the passing lanes while running the 5 out at the other end of the floor. We were able to win pretty much purely from getting the ball to the FT line and pouring in floaters. It's so satisfying lol.

I'm starting to come around to your thinking, lol. I've been playing challenges all weekend long to get some higher valued cards in the MyTeam mode, and the defensive AI is not giving up sh*t on All-Star or Superstar. Like I said in another thread, if the AI was a real person, I would have already punched him in his face by now.

Bright side, when I go against a live opponent, breaking down the defense is so much easier, because I can always rely on the human element to make a mistake for me [emoji16].

I am with you. We see a lot of crazy stuff in NBA. Shaq shooting a 3, Isaiah Thomas blocking. It happens, lol. I tried to Google Payton’s 9 blocks to see how they were, it would’ve been funny to see him blocking a layup on a chasedown similar to the video.

Lol I watch every raptors game van vleet’s strips often are credited as blocks. I mentioned him for a reason cause I knew this would be your rebuttal.

Undersized guards with no bounce don’t alter shots in the NBA.

Chase down blocks are def overpowered, but the problem is three fold. First the block animations turns most players into a soaring condor but I don't now how they can fix that unless their is a block success slider that will trigger less of those animations. Secondly and the easier way to fix the issue is the artificial slowdown that takes place once you get by a defender. This is really noticeable in mycareer games. Think about how many times you feel you should have had a fast break layup and ended up having to pull it back. Lastly the slow down combined with the fact that the most layup package animations are slower than the block animations and it is quite a problem. There also is no proper way to jump your body back into a defender like you would see in real life. Players like Kyrie and Curry rarely have their layups blocked but their packages are extremely risky to use even in many situations when you think you should have a quick wide open layup.
