Just play online and watch how frequently a guard will drive open to a rim and refuse to shoot a layup because they are conditioned by how risky it can be at times.

Ha. You shouldn’t even respond to that. If a person thinks Trae was about to dunk that or that I have control over Trae dunking that then its a wasted conversation.

Trae is doing a dunking animation.

The defender is doing a chase down block animation.

The result of both animations is a blocked dunk attempt.

You seriously wanna argue that trae is doing a chase down block animation?

Undersized guards with no bounce don’t alter shots in the NBA.

This is a strip according to you?

As they should be, lol. One of the reasons why Iverson has become my guy in MyTeam. Dude is so damn fast and attacks the rim with so much recklessness that he'll either get the foul or bucket. I actually prefer over Young.

Now that I rewatched it, it does look like Trae Young was going up for a dunk. Having used him myself, I don't think he was (in fact I think he has 25 for driving dunk attempt), but the contextual animation does look like a dunk attempt.

Lol so siakam contesting the shot and Fred coming in for the block when the balls exposed is your example? Look at the offensive players position when he blocked the shot…well below the rim.

Better yet it’s from 4 years ago all cause you can’t find a recent example. Fred isn’t altering no shots nor is he an explosive athlete. You live in an alternate reality you got this.

These discussions can become fruitless because you have one group who is in the User Agency because video game/ barely relevant outlier occurrence IRL vs the group that doesn't want to see frequent occurrences of plays that have a 99.9% of never happening in IRL and there isn't going to be an agreement.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

                    Its a block.

You can try and spin it all you want, move post to fit your argument or whatever.

In the end the fact remains that its a block.

Its a chase down block at that.

Yes you see the gather and then going up for a 1 handed dunk.

If he has a 25 dunk rating then it makes even more sense that he got blocked by i guess a ****ty defender.

Especially if he has a higher block rating which should not be that hard if he had to beat a 25 rating lol

Take in consideration that its on HOF where cpu also gets an extra boost in everything and are people really suprised that you might see stuff like that.

                      Superstar is the sim difficulty.

Hof is if you want a real challenge as cpu is on roids and will cheat.
                      All-madden is the same.
Heck any highest difficulty in every game is the same.

Its supposed to offer the biggest challenge and it will cheat to do just that ….

True that. My son is amazed every year how I'm able to beat COD on the highest level every year without resorting to cheap tactics.

I recognize that animation. It wasn't a dunk attempt. It was that stupid *** hell behind head layup animation that always results in a heavy contest at the rim, precisely because the layup animation is slow as molasses (Which is why everyone hated Lebron's layup package. Because he did that layup often when he wasn't dunking). Except for this year, where instead of getting just heavily contested, because of the new blocking system it's getting sent into the stands instead.

Trae Young does not dunk anywhere except in the practice gym.

Literally skip to 15 seconds and you'll recognize the layup animation Trae Young did to get blocked.
