Re: NBA 2K22 MyNBA Trade Discussion Thread

I agree with the previous posts opinion on that trade.

Been playing with my Blazers, Mavs, Raptors trade and here is the latest I have:

Blazers send: Powell, Nurkic, Nance, McLemore
Blazers get: Kleber, Hardaway, Watanabe, Diakite, future lottery protected 1st

Mavs send: Kleber, Hardaway, CauleyStein, 2nd round pick
    Mavs get: Powell, Dragic, Boucher

Raps send: Dragic, Boucher, Watanabe, Diakite, future 1st
Raps get: Nurkic, Nance, CauleyStein (would release or trade), current year 2nd

Blazers get a bit of a fresh start without moving Dame or CJ (yet). Powell has one more year on his deal than Hardaway and Powell is having a better year, plus fits the Mavs better in my opinion given his versatility. Mavs get the more versatile Powell, Dragic, and a look at Boucher while not giving up a ton. Raps are in 4th seed near deadline so get big man help with both Nurkic and Nance while really only giving up a future protected first and Boucher (who isn’t playing a ton).

    Thoughts?

That looks good to me Since Raptors are buyers here. I would just have them sign Nurkic to a extension which shouldn't be all that expensive. He seems like a Raptors type guy and They need some size so Nance will help them.

Perfect that was my plan. Thanks! Now just have to figure out what my CJ trade will be. Been toying with something with the Clippers and Bulls centered in CJ to LAC, Bledsoe to CHI, Misc players and a pick or two to POR. Still plenty of other options to explore before the deadline but if people have general ideas on realistic destinations I’m all ears (my standings pretty closely mirror current NBA standings)

I didn't trade C.J in mine as he was out for the year. Here are some teams i thought about

Grizzles - They have expiring's and three 1st this year. Ja-CJ and Bane at the 1-3.
Knicks - Plenty of matching salaries seems like a move they would make.
Pacers - Something around Levert or Turner
Clippers - As you said the Bledsoe expiring and they can cover him on defense
Cavs - They need some scoring help and have all their draft picks plus Love and Rubios contract.

Re: NBA 2K22 MyNBA Trade Discussion Thread

Proud of this trade but also a filthy casual when it comes to the NBA:
(2022-23 regular season, I'm the Wizards)

Orlando gets: Russel Westbrook, PF Maxi Kleber, '26 1st round, PG Eric Bledsoe
Lakers get: Markelle Fultz, SF/SG Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, C Brook Lopez, '23 2nd round

Reasoning: LeBron announced his retirement after this season. Lakers are currently outside of the play in tournament. Russ has regressed to a 78 ovr, so Fultz is an upgrade at 80 ovr. KCP and Lopez give solid bench players. Lakers upgrade at defense. They will have to carry Fultz's $17m cap hit next year, but the other two have deals that expire end of season. Lakers are still projected to have ~$50m in cap space next season. This better positions them to make a playoff push for LeBron's final year.
The Magic are rebuilding. They get out from Fultz's contract next year. Other two are also on expiring deals. They too are projected to have ~$50m in cap space next season. The '26 1st they get is unprotected. Could come in the midst of a Laker rebuild

Since this is year 2, a look at new lineups after this trade:

POR sends: McCollum, Smith Jr, 2022 2nd
                POR gets: John Collins

                PHI sends: Simmons, Green
                PHI gets: McCollum, Bogdanovic, 2022 1st, 2023 1st, 2022 2nd, 2025 2nd

                ATL sends: Collins, Bogdanovic, 2022 1st, 2023 1st, 2025 2nd
                ATL gets: Simmons, Green

I’ve read that the Hawks are emerging as a potential Simmons landing spot, and that John Collins is frustrated there. My thoughts here are Philly doesn’t need Collins since they already have Tobias, and Portland is looking to move CJ since this season is a lost cause. Philly gets two really good wing scoring pieces that should pair well with Embiid and Tobias. Portland gets a young 4 who is built for the modern NBA. ATL gets a superstar to pair with Trae. I feel like this is a pretty solid deal all around and fairly realistic. Thoughts?

Ben with Trae makes a lot of sense bc they have contrasting styles. In real life he could also kinda be the backup PG however in 2k that part is hard to do unless it’s A user team or advanced rotations.

I do think that’s fair value Atlanta is giving up. The issue with Ben is him and Clint are a bad combo with spacing and Atlanta is giving up Two quality shooters. I would try and find a way to do it and keep Collins in Atlanta that what the starting lineup for them is below. Maybe add in Cam and something else like the rookie johnson or OO

Trae - huerter - Ben - Collins - Clint with Hunter as the 6th man

I was thinking about this trade

                      Knicks trades

                      Julias Randle
                      Miles Mcbride

                      Memhis trades

                      Steven Adams
                      De'Anthony Melton
                      2022 1st round pick

Offseason trade that let's obi start next to adams
Mitchell Robinson walks In this scenario.

Melton & Quickley gets chance to start.

I think Memphis would keep the defense that Adams and melton brings. The value seems fair as it’s nit much to give up for Memphis to get a quality starter. I just don’t think he is the best fit with Ja personally ].

Yea Orlando would need to add in 1 or 2 more big pieces. While I like Isaac as a player and traded for him during mine. He is a niche role player thats a fringe starter/high end backup. Carter is along the same lines a solid player, but doesn't have all star upside. They aren't many stretch big's like KAT in the league so his price tag is high.

                                Appreciate it!

Any way to make it work? Swap Isaac out for someone else?

If not, what else would I need to add to Wendell Carter to get Myles Turner instead?

As a note, I started in the 2021 off-season and drafted Jalen Green and Scottie Barnes.
