First time in years I've actually genuinely been excited for a 2k game. But with that, I still have huge reservations about the actual mechanics of the game and editing options for players.

All fine and well having MJ and the challenges back, with all the sexy bells and whistles, but if I don't have the tools to make him play the way he should, (Severely lacking in the last two years) then all this will be a bust. I see signatures have been updated, which gives me a little bit of hope.

I've had nothing but the Snoop Dog 2K theme rolling through my head all night. This 'feels' like it's going to be 2k11 level of good. The company have a habit of throwing out years of sub par entries, then hit us with a BIG one every now and again.

We shall see.....

Finally we have the Dave Berg challenge mode we’ve been waiting for, I’m a little disappointed that we didn’t get him going head to head with the real2kinsider, but I know who the Real GOAT is around here.

The detail is crazy. The ads in the arena change depending on the decade. You can see the old Mountain Dew and AT&T logos in the 90's footage. They were not playing around this time.

I do hope other legends have been updated. It was always so weird to see players that had updated faces next to PS3 models.

I haven’t bought 2k since 20 I believe but this has me excited.

Love that we have an MJ that looks this good so early in this gen.

Keen to see how he moves in terms of signature stuff.....

They forgot to put the dotted restricted area on the 1998 courts haha....

But yeah, I'll be playing as MJ a LOT in 2K23 by the looks of it.

I'm guessing for quick/exhibition games with the classic teams, depending oh which classic teams arena we play in the different classic era filters, logos, ect will still be available. I wouldn't think the 2K devs would be dumb enough to leave that option out.

You would be surprised how dumb sometimes these 2K devs can be at times. I wouldn’t bet on it until we get confirmation from 2K themselves. Imagine all that hard work 2K put in only to have those options available only in the Jordan Challenges mode. Sounds like something 2K would definitely pull.

I always get bored of sports games so I hesitate to get sucked in but this may be worth a day 1 or close to it purchase for me. My issue is I like to play a whole season and for the basketball/baseball games that is just not realistic at 34 with a busy job and wife/toddler. If I just get this for the Jordan classic I am probably better waiting until a sale closer to Black Friday...but this looks so fun and I really do not have any new games to play until perhaps God of War Ragnarok for Christmas probably (although Horizon Forbidden West is awesome and keeping me busy).

I will see what people on here say about the challenge when they get the game probably and if those are good I will probably go ahead and buy this.

My mecca of sports game is NCAA Football so praying that is a good year 1 game next year within reason as that is one sports game I can play a ton of seasons on and not get tired of and can find the time to do it due to shorter seasons.

This seems to have come up a lot in this thread and I hope it gets answered/addressed prior to release.

For example, being a fan of the '82 UNC squad (created them in my Completed Classic Teams roster for 2K13), I'm gonna first do the 1982 NCAA Championship challenge....but do I have to repeatedly play that challenge to use those two teams or can I use them in exhibition games (and with the filter)?

Also, when I edit accessories and shoes for players, will those edits be applied in the Jordan Challenges? For instance, when I edit MJ's shoes (red laces for '86 playoff Jordan, shinier overlay for '96 Jordan, etc), will he have those changes in the challenges?
