Cannot believe they went this hard! I do have one thing that if they ever manage to replicate it, I’ll lose my **** and that’s make big hands and allow Thorpe to snatch one handed rebounds for his signature outlet pass.

      I can't believe they've done this.

I felt like I was watching that Gatorade commercial from the 2000's.

Was watching some Jordan Challenge gameplay of the Father's Day game and was blown away when I saw Rodman do his signature free throw taunt/mind game where when he was lined up as Jordan was shooting a free throw he turned around to face Kemp and stare at him. Awesome attention to detail and accuracy.

It's in this video at the 29:35 mark

There is also a pretty impressive Kemp alley oop finish at 27:08 mark. If someone could make gifs and post them here it would be great, I don't know how to post any from the footage. A lot of fantastic signature old school ball in this video.

I can't say enough about the level of details poured into this game.

The full court shots don’t always hit rim or go in and out like in years past. A lot of them come up short, or go long, or are far right, etc. It’s refreshing to see half court shots and beyond not constantly almost go in.

Ow snap, next thing I want to see is Rodman’s nonchalant walk away when he misses a FT.

lmao.. That Rodman antic is PERFECT.

I played with the 99 Raptors vs the 00 Lakers, and Shaq absolutely bodied Muggsy, haha. One back down move and Muggsy went flying out of bounds. Our power went off legit right as I was checking it in rebound and I didn't capture it.

Subsequent game, Kobe tried a heat check from 3, airballed completely and nailed the backboard with a glorious thud. I can't remember a game that had superstars airballing ill-advised attempts, etc. But it was awesome. It started a fast break the other direction.

Game is just a ton of fun. Shaq is Shaq. Ewing is Ewing. Kobe is Kobe... everyone is playing true to form, and it's incredible. Mid range is here.

I haven't played with the modern teams much (yet) so I don't know if all teams have interactions like this or whether 80's teams just have a higher tendency for it but I can't get enough of the post-whistle theatrics.

2K are Gods of this stuff man.
Acts 2:38- Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Was playing in the ‘83 playoffs as the Celtics vs the Pacers and Clark Kellogg stormed in and grabbed an offensive rebound. All game CK never commented on himself, but said something along the lines of “Look at that young man grab that board………. It’s like looking in a mirror!”
Think it’s nice that stuff like that isn’t overused.

That's amazing, particularly the fact that he held that line for so long into the game.

This is the most Bill Laimbeer sequence in video game history. Not even Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball can touch this.

Related little thing, they even got Laimbeer's eye mole down.

And the crowd catch the ball and throw it back rather than it disappear into nowhere.

I'm playing a Kobe Era game in March between the Kings/Pacers. During the broadcast Kevin Harlan remarks that the draft isn't until July but we already know that LeBron will be the number one pick. And then they compare his game to Magic. 2K killed it with this stuff, man!

This is pure awesomeness, never seen a player so animated with emotion. Laimbeer is pissed, just like in real life. 2K outdid themselves this year.
