Re: 2k "The Little Things" THAT ANNOY YOU:
I'm not super fond of the fact that exiting a screen in MyLeague exits you all the way out automatically.
By that I mean, when I:
1. Open the main menu
2. Select League News
3. Select Season Awards
4. Press B
It exits everything and brings me back to my calendar.
I think it'd be a lot more intuitive if B just pushed me back one screen at a time (or tap B to go back one screen, hold B to exit everything).
A lot of times I want to see a number of things under one tab. For instance, maybe I want to see all three League News options (Transaction Report, Season Awards, League History). It'd be nice to click on Transaction Report, press B, click on Season awards, press B, then click on League History, then press B.
Instead, I can click on one, then I'm forced out of all tabs and have to restart. Then I click the second, am forced out of all tabs, and have to restart, if that makes sense.
It's a quintessential "little thing" because it's not a big deal, but it's low key annoying. It's like if Operation Sports forced you to restart the forum every time we posted.Comment

Online all year long, the lag spike that happens mid-shot animation screws you over every time. It's too frequent for my liking this yearComment

On some screens it offers you choice of using r stick to renavigate.

What funny is that he's telling you the opposite of what you should do. Icon lead passing gives you control your pass direction, effectively dictating where the receiver of the pass will end up. For instance, if I see a player heading toward the basket, I can use lead icon passing to direct him back to another part of the floor when he receives the pass. This is done by pressing the L stick toward the direction you want the player receiving the pass to go, hold that direction and press the button of the respecting player you want to pass to.

the thing what I personally hate with Icon Lead Passing is, when you do not press the left stick while icon passing. If you do that, then the pass receiver will cut to the basket all the time. In my experience this leads to a lot of turnovers, as the receiver will cut behind a defender lots of times. I deactivate Icon Lead passing for years because of that.Comment

I used to think guys who said “I’m lagging” during their shot were just making excuses until I got it a few times myself, lol
Such an odd thing.

Re: 2k "The Little Things" THAT ANNOY YOU:
I'm sure this has heard a lot of gripes since its inception, but since it's new to me I just want to say that I really dislike the alley-oop dunk meter.
It would be nice to look at the alley-oop dunk animation (one of the most satisfying sequences in ball) and not focus on a little meter mini-game.
I'm pretty good at timing them, pay less mind to them then I used to. However it is still annoying.Comment

Re: 2k "The Little Things" THAT ANNOY YOU:
When the CPU randomly switches match-ups for your team (ie - the opposing point guard comes down the floor and your center guards him), and then doesn't allow you to switch back. So if you get your own point guard to step up it just causes a double team, rather than your center going back to his man. Meaning your choice is either to guard with the wrong player or leave someone wide open to roll to the basket.
It goes both ways too - if you get a mismatch, especially in the post, the CPU makes no attempt to switch back.Comment

I can't believe this is still an issue in 2023, but with any retro team from the 80s-mid 90s should wear white socks both home and away.
I love NBA Eras, but the immersion just gets killed with the black socks and shoes from the 1980s. My god, this is nerve wrecking.Comment

Re: 2k "The Little Things" THAT ANNOY YOU:
I'm guessing 2K has this hand switching stuff programmed into the game because it looks good in CPU vs CPU and isn't too bothersome in USER vs CPU matches.
But it's terrible for any online mode where people blitz and full court press, because you temporarily lose control of the dribbler while it's happening, and it exposes the ball for easy pick pocket and bump steals.
Even when you're not getting pressed/blitzed, it's still annoying to have a right stick chain dribble combo ruined because the ball was auto moved into a different hand than you anticipated when you first flicked your right stick.
We at least need a controller option setting for no auto hand switches in 2K24 to make certain dribble styles usable in online play.Last edited by jyoung; 01-02-2023, 06:48 PM.Comment

Passing out of a jumpshot/lay up /dunk.
There's already a jump pass command in the game (X + A) if people want to try and trick the defense with a fake shot pass, and that's the only option they should have in 2K24 to do that IMO.
Adding a badge like agent 3 which leads to off balance fadeaways being an easy green …
But as soon as you step behind the three point line, I feel like you should have to set your feet, or use one of the gather moves (hesi, hop jumper, escape jumper) to green threes.
Off-balance fading threes should be a low-percentage, last-ditch-effort, desperation heave, dice roll RNG shot (like the last second "flick up" shots currently are), not a go-to move that happens every single trip down the court with the normalcy of a Kardashian Instagram post.Last edited by jyoung; 01-02-2023, 09:41 PM.Comment
