    NBA 2k24 New Technology feature

What's the source of this news?

Nevermind, it's from 2kintel on Twitter. I'll believe it when I see it.

If it's a next gen version of this[emoji102][emoji102][emoji102][emoji102][emoji50][emoji15]

When I load up a sports game, the first thing I do is look at the top players in the game; then I compare those ratings to what I think the real-life counterparts actually deserve. Typically there are discrepancies, especially as the season progresses..

Dynamic DNA was about tendencies, while the new 2K feature is about animations from what I read. Don't think these are similar features.

Sounds like basically instead of just motion capture studios being the source of animations, they’ve figured out how to create animations out of actual NBA games or something

So essentially.....we could have true signature styles based off the real players and not mo capped by imitators?

            This could be huge.

Curious if this affects player movement and not just animations

                Not at all.

Dynamic DNA was about player tendencies.

EDIT: Someone beat me to it.

Excited to check this out though, The feel of signature shots was already a huge jump this year imo

Gotta see it in motion, but the way they’ve captured sigs for 2K23 and how authentic some of the jumpers and bases look now, I’m assuming if they execute it right we’re in for something special. Again only an assumption based on how things like signature jumpers took a huge leap this past year and we know they didn’t mocap all of those.

Loved last year. Probably will be a long break up. Like literally to the second of release [emoji23]

Even if I liked the prior 2K, by now I’m usually wearing down on it and prepping for the new release

I’m still playing 2K23 like every other day though, This engine is going to have to be something serious to get me to that point…

What's that gambling site with the realistic player movement vid? You guys remember that one. I'm on phone and it's harder to post but if they can get movement like that then this could be huge.

Yep. The shots are pretty good now. There’s definitely some step backs and dribble moves that feel like whoever was doing the motion capture was kinda doing it at half speed and I’d really love to see that get cleaned up.

I'm really praying they overhaul the MyNBA / MyGM / Franchise Mode this year, and not just upgrade online play!!!!

Huge because they can probably start really getting the signature styles on retro players and they wouldn't feel as "generic".

Curious where else they might apply it - little things like bringing the ball up, different run styles, heck maybe they'll even eventually go as far as giving Dennis Rodman signature rebound styles haha..... could have some pretty good potential..

As a sim baller 24/7, I just want next year next GEN to look and feel next GEN. Better presentation accurate body types. Proplay sounds great, but l’ll buy in when I see it’s actually something different on next gen, and not just some preorder hype marketing gimmick.

Could care less about online, my team, and corny my player.
