Does this mean we won't have eras on PC either on 2k24? Does it have to be next gen game to have that game mode or is it possible they add it on old gen too?

I'm sorry but I don't get the actual joy from people that PC gamers are stuck. Games like COD, Fortnite, Apex, etc. can be played just fine, but they also have anti cheat. 2K is the ones who don't care about cheaters. Let most pc plaayers, who actually dont cheat, enjoy the new version and be able to have fun with everyone elseComment

Re: According to this leak, PC getting old gen version of 2K24
I last played NBA 2k20 on PC. I modded it heavily. 400+ hours of gametime.
However with all the customization on the console next gen versions I don't have much of an issue with PC not being next gen. I am fine playing next gen on my Xbox X.
With the MYNBA ERA's I personally don't know what I would want to mod anymore....2k's customization and depth compared to EA's Madden is a night and day difference. All for PC versions but 2k made a sandbox style game in many ways and I am happy on console.Comment

likely not. pc 2k23 didn't have it, so we can only assume 24 won't either.Comment

I like how you mentioned mods when that's the whole point for having the PC version. Yeah no I'm calling BS on this post since the PC gamers here would love to mod the game. I can see them modding in more ERAS and far more accurate player faces for those added new eras.
I agree with the cheaters though. Those clowns need there PCs to burn out.Comment

Re: According to this leak, PC getting old gen version of 2K24
If this is true, than I guess another year of me not buying 2k. Really there is no reason for this. Just baffles me. Guess if I need 2k fix I will just play 2k19 like I have been for the last 5 years off and on. I just wanted new and smoother gameplay (if next gen has that, haven't even played it anywhere) and figured this was the year 2k would do it, especially after Madden decided to do it.NFL 2k5 When Sept. Have character models improved so much in general that the defaults don’t really bother you? If you used retro mods for 2K20, did you care less about having the actual NBA on NBC scoreboard, “Roundball Rock,” etc. than just having it look generally like that era? If so I can sympathize, because when I originally switched to PC from console, it wasn’t really because of in-game mods; I was just a roster maker sick of editing on console, where it takes literal weeks to do something that can be done in a few days on the PC version.
Once you’re in the mod eco-system though and you get used to everything—especially the crazy high quality of modded character models these days—it’s just hard to go back.Last edited by vetmin; 07-23-2023, 09:32 AM.Comment

Re: According to this leak, PC getting old gen version of 2K24
Can you imagine if the PC community can get the console rosters through 2kshare? Accurate rosters + modded faces/arenas/scoreboards. Man...that would be bliss. Even though the PC version is old gen it would be nice if 2kshare was shared universally.Comment

Thats not true, again.
the switch to the ps4/xbox one gen was with NBA 2k14. On PC, it was done one year later with NBA 2k15.Comment

That's unexcusable, straight up BS.
I only have a gaming PC so i guess i have to wait another year to jump on ERAs. I bought 2k23 for PC and i was very disappointed.
I'm not buying a PS5 just for one game.let me travel back in time... back when the sonics use to have kemp, GP, detlef, hawkins...Comment
