In NBA 2K23, ir we change some stuff on stadium, default lights are reset and we receive a TERRIBLE light effect on court/players. Its fixed on 2K24?
The shadow glitch is still there if you edit the arena. I entered a game with the Warriors in the Jordan years and it was fine. I exited and edited the name of Oracle Arena and the stadium got the shadow glitch, just like last year. They fixed nothing. They added one era, which isn't that difficult, and left the rest exactly like it was.

I am glad I got 2K24 for the NBA League Pass, but I will just keep playing eras on 2K23.

If you edit the arena, yeah you will get the glitch. If you are trying to update the floor though, thats they key.

Thats a bit disheartening though if you are just editing the name so I feel you on that 2k23 part.

Wait, Adding an era is "not that hard" though bro?

Nope. Not after the structure is there. Adding an era is not difficult. Have you even looked at the rosters? The Kings have six players. They didn't even try. I LOVE 2K23. But they did exactly what I expected... nothing.

I know we want more, trust. I really want the same like you bro, this the ONLY Mode I play fam. I'm franchise guy, so yes I feel you in certain aspects but gotta get in reality a bit.

How easy is it to get agreements on those retired players ? and to renegotiate them after? We have to be able to really be honest on things that are NOT so easy. I thought it was, till someone told me otherwise from the team. These Eras arent easy to deal with and we keep saying "They are lazy", which is wrong.

The thing is this, we can be critical but sometimes we have to realize.. they didnt have to do this. We are already losing the MyTeam and REC battle already.

Kids boot up the game now and dont play a lick of simulation basketball, they don't care for it (anything NBA). Kids are excited about jetpacks and big yellow boots in this game, will pay ANOTHER $73 dollars just to dress up as a mascot.

I do think that 2k needs to come by and let us know how tough the red tape to get this ERA stuff done, whatever they can say publicly to help us have understanding. Thats our biggest issue it seems

Quoting this part for emphasis and perspective. The mid-2010s was a tough time for classic NBA gamers. The same 2K11 teams were used every year and somehow got progressively worse with time (shout out to the birth defect Joe Dumars era).

But since then, 2K has slowly built up the classic side of their game to such an overwhelming degree that I struggle to even get a grasp on it all. I'm not sure I ever fathomed any sports game having the gall to try to pull off what 2K's done, which is to basically recreate an entire league from almost scratch over four very different points in history.

I imagine there's got to be close to 1,000 players in the game now. And many of them have no business looking as sharp and accurate as they do. I mean, somebody over there at 2K had to care enough to get Jay Humphries right, and Bill Wennington, and both young and old Antoine Carr. Somebody had to care enough to add dozens of classic floors and jerseys. It goes on and on.

I'm always going to have my wishlist of things I hope the 2K team continues to add and improve upon (Finals decals, era-accurate 3-point shootouts and dunk contests, domes as an option for teams like the '80s Sonics & Pistons, etc.) but I'm not sure there's any case that can be made that these guys are lazy on this front. On the contrary, it's pretty insane what they've been able to pull off.

Re: NBA 2k24 MYNBA is same as last year.

I got it because of the fixes I saw in this thread. Here's what I see in the create a draft class specifically:

                The Good:
                - There's a ridiculous amount of motion styles and generated players are generated with different motion styles. Last year everyone came out with Basic. This should make generated rookies more unique in longer MyNBA saves.
                - Names are accurate to the country the generated player is from.
                - There's a few new hair styles.
                - Some of the old hair styles got graphical updates that make them look more realistic.
                - Intriguing new badges will allow for more uniqueness (94 ft, Fast feet, immovable enforcer)
                - You can now see wingspan and height in create-a-draft class next to the player's picture.

                The Bad

                - Generated Draft Classes still have black dudes with blonde hair and blue eyes.
                - Even though you can see wingspans without clicking in to each player individually it would be nice if you could quick edit and sort by wingspan in create-a-draft class mode
                - 10 file save limit for non 2k share file
                - Not sure why but we're still getting generated guys named "Dick" in 2023 the year of our lord...

Roster Related Notes: if you want a good laugh look at the 2010 era New Jersey Nets rating. That was one of the worst teams in NBA history yet somehow Kris Humphries is an 80 and the barely playable rookie Dereck Favors is a 78...

                - In coaching staff we still can't edit the names or faces of the fake GMs.

Because of the omission of the mid season tournament (that I absolutely do not understand how it works either) it looks like the schedules from Dec 3 - Dec 10 wont be accurate. Not sure how they decided but they just put in games.

Can’t believe they didn’t fix the lighting bug in Arena creation. My goodness I cannot go another year with this

I guess this is a feature as oppose to a bug at this point, but players still recover from injuries in half the stated time. Every 1 day players injury time decreases by 2-3 days...

This means a ruptured achilles suffered early in the season is not a season-ender...

I noticed this 23. I’d have people out 2-3 months and be healed in 10-15 games.
