Re: Automatic Aging Transformation
Players I’ve notice age so far.
Kobe Bryant when the Kobe Era started
Dennis Rodman- noticed around 95 could have aged sooner
Alonzo Mourning-around 2002
Karl Malone- some point in the 90’s
Jason Williams/ I think his is broken because he looks like a burn victim
Michael Jordan- seemed wonky but I did mess with his look so I need to do some more testing
Larry Bird- has three looks but I think it skipped the middle look
Tim Duncan-around 2002Comment

Re: Automatic Aging Transformation
Jordan had a full head of hair for me until I got to 1988. I edited him right before the regular season started to have the proper Jordans and then in the first game he had less hair just like in real life.
The aging seems to lock on the appearance and if you edit them then it'll reset to default, in this case Jordan will be bald if I edit him again.Comment

Re: Automatic Aging Transformation
Jordan’s aging is definitely broken. When you start the Jordan Era he is bald. Once you play/sim it switches to his second look(receding hair). When you go into edit him it shows bald. You have to do this before every game if you want the correct look.
Shaq in the draft class has hair, once drafted he is bald with just the Man of Steel tattoo. Within a couple of years he has more tats. Simmed until 04 and his look hasn’t changed again.Comment

Re: Automatic Aging Transformation
So that's basically not aging but changing an avatar from one to another preset which is just a marketing tidbit; whereas on some Live series back in the day, it could be Live 2005 or smt. i remember seeing players getting genuine aging or transforming on their bodies such as going thin to fat etc. Hopefully it would get worked on for next iterations to completely n naturally make aging smt tangible.
A very simple and good example could be a player having an injury and getting back from that injury the player could get really muscular or fat or with a different hair or hair color or smt etc. so that there could be a true story behind as well as getting more age, too. This kinda changes also has to be visually seen by eyes which also needs a tremendous overhaul on 2k body type differences which is pretty awful thinking this is so called Next-Gen and which also just proves my point from 2-3 years back; that next gen is just a bit more powerful pc than the previous one but not that much seeing this year graphic regression also proves my points what i intended to say back in the days over on OS, here vs to some Next lovers..These next and all are just hype tags that's all folks and that is coming from an old aging Gamer here, i've seen it all. Peace

Re: Automatic Aging Transformation
Was surprised to see that Shaq doesn't age, or at least didn't in my initial test sim. He has multiple models, so he should definitely do the 'aging' in theoryComment

Re: Automatic Aging Transformation
Yeap Live had it in Dynasty mode. I can't remember exactly which one was it but i believe it's something between 2004-2006 series. It's been 20 years, time flies.. And the best i remember was i had Amare Stoudemire and he got fatter each season, lol ended up looking like Baby Shaq at some point got slower less athletic etc.Last edited by ataman5; 09-13-2023, 01:00 PM.Comment

This feels like one of those moments where we're reminded why 2K takes their time with instituting certain features (because as simple as they may sound, they almost never are).Comment
