Re: If You are a Off Line MyNBA Player Remove ALL Badges for Best Gameplay Results
For me the game plays better removing= some of the badges but not all. 2k player used to have a rating for moving 3s, contested 3's, etc but they don't anymore. I use the badges to separate players in these situations.Comment

One of the beautiful things about 2k is that they have a global editor that allows you to mass edit whatever you want. We can take your approach and remove them team by team, or you can just mass edit and remove from the "All Players" tab. That way you remove the badges from free agents as well. I play with your roster for the Modern Era and I've removed badges for all the other Eras as well. This was a great idea."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Comment

Fan service. They brought it in a few years ago. Used to to have to go into 1 player screen at a time.

is there a quick way to turn the badges back on? I'm interested in trying this out but want to know if there's a way to go back if I don't like it.Comment

Re: If You are a Off Line MyNBA Player Remove ALL Badges for Best Gameplay Results
As for the topic, I did zero badges in 2K20 and maybe 2K21 and it was pretty good (certainly much better than default), but on 2K22 I came around to the ATD-esque approach of just being more judicious about who gets which badges. Apart from some badges being functionally necessary for certain skills (like shooting off movement), the game just pops more with a mild-to-moderate sprinkling of badges throughout.
The big problem with the ATD approach is that in the offseason (at least on old-gen; I assume it's the same on new), Player Progression completely wrecks your custom badge configuration, so for 2K23 I built a generator that assigns badges based on attributes, so I can quickly run it every offseason and load the badge configurations back in after 2K wrecks them. The maximum number of badges a player can have with my generator is like 13-14, and that's like Jordan or someone.Comment

Download the official 2k roster. I kind of like how the game is playing this year minus the ghost contest. I want to know what badge removes that, if it's badge related?Comment

Loving it! It's why I decided to go ahead and remove the badges for the other era rosters as well. I've always been a proponent of ratings driving gameplay more than anything. I can see the need for badges that separate certain things like Dirk and another poster mentioned for certain shot types. But, overall ratings and tendencies are enough for me. And the editor makes it so easy to do."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Comment

Anyone that has downloaded the Latest Update have Gameplay feedback. I see they messed with a few things and I don't want to Download it if it messes up the Gameplay.NBA 2k18 Roster:

kindly pass me to me as well
Follow up question: How do you do it for the upcoming rookies? Does it carry automatically or I need to do remove the badges for them?
Thanks so much.Last edited by BitTexas; 10-02-2023, 12:34 PM.Comment
