The ball floating directly up and down on a "flip" lay-up has been in the game for a few years now. Always goes in and takes an eternity to do so.

I know, but it seems like it happens more now than before. Less layups off the glass and layups with contact it seems.

I’d also add that it seems like for some guys shot animations, they’ll hit back rim every now and then. Julius Randle for example always seems to hit back rim on his 3s, and maybe 25% of the time it’s a swish. So I’m sure it has something to do with the player shot too.

I think you're right. I'm playing with the Suns and players like Booker or Allen swish every shot while Bol Bol usually hits back rim and other ball-rim interactions.

Last year (2k23 for PS4) almost every jumper was a swish at first. Then they patched it and there was pretty good ball-rim interactions.

Can confirm. Old-gen 2K23 now has a great balance of ball-rim interactions, whether using timing or real player %.

Seems better than last year where on real % there were hardly ever swishes.

One of the main reasons i got bored playing myleague offline because of cpu swishing everything.the ball/rim physics are predictable and boring ...always rimless 🥱

I play MyNBA on new gen I’ve seen a variety of shots rim in and out, toilet bowl shots as we call it. Not clean shots i.e. hitting parts of the rim then in. The only swish everytime i see is the computer on their midrange shot every time

Still a lot of swishes, but definitely a little bit less. Also more layups that don’t just go right in, although they still need to fix the obvious ones that float straight up and in.

Looks like they fixed it lol. Not sure if my ticket was the reason why, but sometimes all you have to do is take the steps to a resolution and hope that you don't go unheard. The physics are a lot better than what they were

I'm not seeing any jump shots bounce around on the rim or anything like that, but I definitely notice more jump shots and 3 pointers hitting the back of the rim and going down rather than going straight through.

The cpu swishing everything is going to make me pht down this game. I play offline myleague with user timing and damn the cpu swishes all their shots no rattles no bounces nothing just swishes ...frikkin irritating to say the least. This new era shot mechanism ruined everything.

want to say after trying older 2k games, including live even, can conclude 2k24 is just no fun, like this thread, the cpu either swish or miss, the bounce created would never have the ball to rim in

I don't see any difference. All shots I take with Booker, KD, Allen are swishes.
