Re: NBA 2K25 Gameplay Videos
This is an issue with the animation engines to make the game more responsive while ensuring the graphics don't take a hit. This has been a problem for a lot of sports games in recent years (FIFA, etc.). To eliminate the sliding, the animations would have to completely finish before moving to the next one; however, this would infuriate players because responsiveness would be slower.Comment

Damn, his entire timeline is just MyPlayer and Park. Was really hoping for ANYTHING related to defense or AI improvements.
This radio-silence for the offline crowd is a little worrisome.Comment

It’s been worrisome for some years now lol. Czar is probably come around when the game drops but other than that, OS doesn’t really have the connection/contact they use to have back in the day. Smh it sucks

It really does suck! Watching MessenjahMatt’s 2K7 videos is what got me into this series! MTX and social influencers changed the game 😔#HeatNation

Probably won’t get a bunch of long form breakdowns from Czars personal Twitter, will have to wait for his stream when/if he does one this year…

In my personal opinion, 2K needs to add true foot planting to take this game to the next level when it comes to realism. Their animation quality is the best in the business, but seeing players slide on the court is definitely an eyesore. As we move forward, the better the graphics & technology gets, the more these issues will stand out. I think if they added true foot planting, gamers would adjust after awhile.. Similar to how Madden slowed the game speed down when transitioning to Next Gen.
Same thing with dribbling.. I want to see each dribble animation fully play out before we're able to start the next dribble, pass or shoot. I can't stand when a player starts a dribble & the ball doesn't hit the floor, stopping the dribble in mid-air.. How you can pass or shoot before the dribble is completed. I get why they do it for responsiveness, but it defies physics & hurts immersion at the same time.Last edited by JKSportsGamer1984; 09-02-2024, 12:53 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 Gameplay Videos
Is there a middle ground between proper foot-planting and players defying physics? It's frustrating not being able to use the CPU's momentum against them when they close out quickly on the perimeter, because that is a very common basketball play.Comment

It’s been so long man, I don’t remember who’s on the team anymore. Who are the developers? What are they in charge of? Who’s transitioned to other projects?
Yo we were privileged having all that info 7-10 years ago ! Didn’t even know it.
