I wish the AI would use digs against post-ups and isolations, but especially the former. There's even an option for Dig under Defensive Settings for post-up double-team. Use it!

Even someone like Rui Hachimura draws soft doubles. It's not just the Embiids and Jokices who have gravity in the post-- they just more than most, but everyone in the NBA who posts up can get into the rim, and the defense's job is to protect the rim.

The beginning of this video goes through the options menu for things like shot meter, perfect release animation & sfx, player indicator, shot meter, turbo meter, etc. Looks like they show you what each option does with a video example.

Agreed, the lighting on the players looks better than we've possibly ever seen in a 2K game before. Absolutely fantastic. Those courts still look like they were drawn with crayon, though.

Agreed. I think the darker crowds look great and highlight the court. You can still see them they just don't need to be in focus all the time.

That said darkening it allows them to reduce details which may add horsepower for animating and lighting

The rim and net physics look soooooooo much better look at that Jamal Murry jumpshot that rattled in the rim.

Dribbling and shooting system is giving that NBA Live vibe which isn't bad definitely gotta see hands on.

Floor spacing and player ratio looks to be finally fixed we gotta see some broadcast cam footage to confirm that tho.

Overall I'm liking what I'm seeing so far from the footage hopefully the arena sounds are much better than last year I'm happy we finally have arena specific lighting.

I don't understand why EA games have always been able to do arena/stadium sounds better than 2k

I HIGHLY doubt it, but has anyone made a video showing what all the slider options are? With the revamped contest system I wonder what they did to the Defense Strength sliders or if they removed them entirely. And I’m also curious if they brought back the “With/Without Ball” movement sliders.

It all boils down to the defensive settings working.

If leave him, pre rotate, and cutter rules work then we are good.

If not then it will be another year of 5 out one on one streetball

The ONLY thing I dislike about any of the videos is the CPU pulling up when the lane is wide open smh. 2K24 CPU was the best/most realistic it has ever played by the end of the season (it was terrible early in the year), but the only flaw was tye CPU taking pull ups when nobody was in front of them.

Fix that ish man smh. Its been a major issue for years. These are not realistic pull ups and the defender is usually right next to the shooter or right behind them, making the contest easy and giving the user a free defensive stop when it should have been an easy layup or dunk.

It is trash smh.


Everything else looks perfect imo. I knew this would be the year they made the biggest gameplay changes, because 24 made a huge leap. Can't wait for the 4th. Mad I gotta go to court on the 5th (actual felony court, not the basketball court smh)

Saw a Laker vid at crypto. Lots of organ!!! Loved it. May have been in 24, didn’t play it much beyond 2 games. Much better than past versions tho with arena sounds it seems.

I’m with you, thought the AI last year just kept getting better with Da Czars updates , especially coming off ‘23

Maybe it’s an expectations thing but I’m genuinely confused hearing people here say that aspect of the game was ignored.

I see there are a lot of players that weren't updated smh. It's unacceptable at this point. The presentation design looks very low-budget like they hired a random person on Fiverr or something.

I've said it before, I understand not being able to scan/rescan players, but that shouldn't prevent players from being updated. Just keep on mind that there are usually a handful of players that receive updates by launch/day 1 patch.

I saw a video where there was no halftime show. Makes me wonder if they lost that crew and they moved away from a more traditional TV presentation style.

Holdup whaaaat. I just noticed that too. It just showed highlights and stats like it does in eras mode (i.e no presentation).

Which begs the question, has anyone seen a halftime show in a 2K25 video yet??
