Re: NBA “The Little Things” Thread
The hostage dribble is back in 2k25 with new animations!! 2k devs managed to revamp the ball-rim physics, the dribble engine and the rebounding in the same year. Insane.
I want to thank all the OS users that made the devs aware of the issue. Especially ChaseB and Jeebs9.Comment

Re: NBA “The Little Things” Thread
The signature "little thing" I look for every year is the walk it up animations and boy did they finally nail it this year. Buttery smooth transitions from the jog to walk and back.

Re: NBA “The Little Things” Thread
Less dunks, more layups – I think that’s really well done.
At least that’s how I feel at the moment.
Lost in watching Replays as usual

Re: NBA “The Little Things” Thread
Athleticism in general is more realistic, primarily for dunks and blocks. I'm not seeing any crazy chase down/recovery blocks or explosive arcadey dunks in inappropriate situations. From what I've seen so far, players don't gather for dunks from a far distance like in previous games.Comment

Re: NBA “The Little Things” Thread
Seeing older players like Lebron, Westbrook needing more of a runway to elevate for huge athletic dunks is refreshing, players seem to have the appropriate amount of explosiveness. Late-career Lebron finishing through contact with strong athletic layups in situations where he used to easily dunk is well duplicated. It’s nice seeing heavier or less bouncy players have to “load up” to get off the ground versus young twitchy guysLast edited by tcalvin1991; 09-07-2024, 12:08 AM.Comment

Re: NBA “The Little Things” Thread
Something I’ve always wanted changed is the time it takes to call a timeout after the CPU makes a shot. In the past, I feel like I would hit the timeout button over and over again before it would register. This year, the input has been super responsive! Calling a timeout to stop the run and then seeing a camera shot of the players and crowd celebrating is oddly satisfying for me.#HeatNation

Re: NBA “The Little Things” Thread
You can't see it perfectly in this video. But one of the biggest headache is practice plays was that if you made one bad pass or waited too long to make a pass. The entire play would stop and start over. This has been happening for cycles. They finally fixed it so the play just keeps going just like in a game. Or you switch into freelance.
Also I love how the defender has to get thru teammates and passer on a DHO.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: NBA “The Little Things” Thread
This thread has a positive angle on the little things than make the game king of sports games.
Bugs on the other hand are little things that destroy the immersion.
In edit player mode I can't change the sigshots, the background is changed to black and it's very hard to see black players. They removed the button to change front and back angle. They zoomed out the chew gum and dunk reaction and removed all lighting.
These little things were all for the worst.

I hear you, but this isn’t the thread for this. Feel free to post your issues in the bugs and glitches thread.

Re: NBA “The Little Things” Thread
Shooting jumpers over shorter players has been very satisfying. Additionally, trying to whip the ball around the perimeter to find the open shooter before the defensive rotation catches up is rewarding.Attached FilesLast edited by alabamarob; 09-12-2024, 07:45 PM.Psn: Alabamarob

3 years later and the pistons arena still doesn’t have the courtside bar behind the rim(yes I know my team sucks, but where’s the realism)Comment
