Def settings and all coach settings are working and the implementation is the best in the series. Last night I gave a coach instruction to shut down a specific cpu player and his matchup was all over him. When you choose protect the perimeter you can clearly see the adjustments. Am I playing a different game?

I sincerely hope not. I play stricktly MyNbaEras, offline franchize mode. I get it, i can screw up sometimes defending while playing and i don't have problem with that. But to have a feeling as i described in previous post, that's something else. Another level. But ok, it could only be my opinion, no hard feelings.


Let me just say, i play the game since 2k11, so i'm familiar with the game and sort of know the mechanics/changes around it...

Unfortunately without gameplay video evidence we'll do circles discussing it. I'm certain though the coach D settings work this year, I can clearly see it.

My understanding is they ran into major issues with the on-the-fly adjustments. Truth is that defensive settings are working better than ever in a NBA 2K game. Probably the engine struggles to apply these settings in real time? This is the most logical explanation I can come up with when Czar uses the word "by design". It means they had issues with coding.
Old gen is a different version so we can't really compare it.

Your response might be the reason. Maybe it did cause more issues from a gameplay standpoint. I’ve just learned to pause the game and do everything in there instead. It’s just been a staple for the game for years. It’s hard to let go.

While this may be true, I sent a ticket to 2k regarding the fact that in practice mode, there is no HUD option in the menus. So if I’ve been playing with HUD off, but I want to work on shot timing in practice (and I forget to change it), I have to exit all the way back to the main menu. Anyways, they replied to me and said “this is intended.”

They couldn't even muster a half-assed apology, lol
