Played a game as Sixers vs. Knicks and after a sub in the 3rd Embiid ended up matched-up on Brunson while Lowry was on one of the centers (either KAT or Robinson). It completely threw me off and I wasted a couple defensive possessions trying to adjust the matchup (for some reason I don't know how to change it from the pause menu/settings). It even threw off my offense because I was annoyed by the nonsensical defensive matchup and mentally I was thinking about how I need to adjust the setting on the next defensive possession.
A similar issue I've noticed is with teams that use double big lineups. Teams don't really adjust. So in the same game, the Knicks put out a lineup with KAT and Robinson. I have subs on auto and there is no adjusment to match the lineup with our own double big lineup (which should be Embiid and Drummond). Similarly, when I play as the Celtics, they will also use a double big lineup even when it doesn't make sense. Why would there be a lineup with Hordford and Porzingis if the 4 for the other team is undersized?
Lineups, subs, and defensive matchups need to have better logic behind them. I know that there a things I can change from a user perspective, but we should be at a point where the CPU can handle subs and defensive matchups better than they currently do. Past games have done a better job than this.
