Decided to try the defence only strategy, got 31 blks, 9 stls and 17 pts. Barely got 3stars, 6300 points and got Westbrook out east allstars pack.

is it even possible to get 3 stars when using gold players? I dropped 70+ with Westbrook/Melo combo and only got 2 stars.

Here's my method: I played through the entire western conference and unlocked the west all-star game. After getting 3 stars in the west all-star game, I got Derrick Rose. I'm going to continue to play that one game over and over again. I don't see any point in even starting the eastern conference if I can just play the west all-star game and get a guaranteed gold all-star from either the west or the east.

Does it allow you to repeat after you got 3 stars and you still get the three stars pack over and over??

I get 3 stars for most of the time now, 80+ points is not a guarenteed 3 star tho. If a lot of players get fouled out, it might decrease your rating i think (got 3 players fouled out with 84 points=5900 points; with noeone fouled out > 8000 points). Got Rondo, Anthony, D. Williams and some silver players so far.

This game mode is stupid - how can I win the game and get only 2 stars? Isn't the point to win games, not get 87 blocks and 52 steals?

I know the formula, thanks to this thread, but it still is stupid to me.

Damn Last night I was killing this. Getting 80+ points easily, really struggling today in the half court set. Anyone know any Plays you can run with multiple outcomes? I used to LOVE Horns 1 and used to run it all game because there was so many different outcomes. Cant find an Alternative atm

Me too! Maybe I'm imagining it but today it seems harder, maybe they tweaked the defensive settings.

to get 3 stars I've used the advice previously posted in this thread and also done one thing to make it a bit easier.

before you play.. go to options and make sure free throw difficulty is 0. this will make a BIG difference and make life easier on you.

as you know you basically need 2 bronze players to score 20+ points and your team to approach 70-80 or whatever.

so pick out 2 bronze guys you are confident you can get to the cup with consistently... put 1 on the bench and just whore them for 3 min spurts so both are fresh.

basically just drive relentlessly to the cup and draw fouls or get layups. once your player is scoring a good bit they will double... that's when you can get easy assists for 3's to other guys to get your teams scoring output up..

oh yeah play a full court press on defense all game too to speed the pace of the game up.

I had one game where I got three stars with about 4 blocks and 3 steals. I was under 80 points as well. the only thing that stood out was I beat my opponent by close to 20 points and had very few turnovers.

All of these "requirements in order to get 3 stars" seems bologna. I also got 3 stars one game without a twenty point scorer. When you try to focus on specific stats you get sloppy and it can screw up your total points. From my experience, the only true requirement is to use an all bronze line up.

Hey guys, I recently joined the forums but I've read so many posts from this thread I wanted to thank you and share my strategy for 3stars every time:
1. Use "Crash Offensive Boards", "Crash Defensive Boards" and "Create Chaos" as Points of Emphasis.
2. As soon as the game starts, pause and make these switches: Points of Emphasis Manual, Off and Def plays manual, defensive assist 100% and shot block always
3. As soon as the other team has possession use the 1-3-1 zone; this will help you a ton to get rebounds, steals and blocks, don't worry about the 3 point barrage of the other team, if you lose doesn't matter but this will allow for fast possessions and help on Blocks and steals.
4. Only use Point guard for defense, let the cpu play (they will get you some blocks and steals) using the 1-3-1, use your PG on the front and if someone gets inside you can switch to shot blocker but it isn't as necessary.
5. For scoring it depends on you, the easier I find is with 3 pointers (but don't force it) and post up with centers and PFs, most of the time my centers end with double digits from easy FTs, layups and rebounds.
6. Play Fast but don't force the shots

I aim for 20 points a quarter but I've won 3 stars with even 60 points total, I usually end up with 65+ Points, around 5 blocks (they don't matter that much since patch), like 8 steals (they come naturally from the zone).

I keep constructing, deconstructing, and reconstructing my bronze lineup to get those 3-star packs in domination. Thought it might be cool to hear everyone's top BRONZE players... Who do you have starting, and who's your must-have's on your team??

For some reason it feels much harder to get 3 stars today. I'm getting the points on the board but I'm struggling to get enough blocks and steals now. I beat the Bucks by 8 and had 78 points, only 4 blocks and 3 steals and ended up with 2 stars. I really need 2K to be putting up a checklist soon for objectives on how to get 3 stars. It seems to be changing all the time.

As for must have Bronze players. The only player I will say out of the 40 odd bronze players I have used every games is Tim Hardaway JR. He's fast and can shoot the 3, as well as being able to create his own shot. Pretty rare for a bronze to have all those skills. His D is awful though. I usually shift him to SF and put Malcolm Lee at the 2, he can shoot a bit and he's pretty athletic. The only player I've actually sold was Ryan Anderson. He takes way too long to get his shot off, resulting in a block 90 per cent of the time. It annoyed me so much I just sold him.

Just got 7119 and 3 stars.

Seems like you need around 7+ Steals and 7+ Blocks and 60+ Points. Steals seem to have more weight now.
