Did you really say PnR cheese? Dude just because you can't stop a move or scheme doesn't make it cheese! This has to be the most balance 2k thus far, In terms of cheese and exploits. Learn the game, practice and get better.

Yeah I really did. In this game P&R can be an exploit. Depending on the momentum one of three guys will lose his man. I'll play as the ball handler and my big man will completely forget about his man. I'll play as the big man and my guard will go under a screen when guarding a shooter. Both the guard and the big guy will play perfect D and conveniently some wing man will be left wide open. P&R defense is horrible. Never had this problem in any of the previous 2k games.

I'm not the only one by any means to complain about this. Did I say the game was awful, or unplayable? This is a forum for feedback which hopefully the Devs read and use for future games. This is a big problem and a fixable problem as well! You got a problem with what I say then request a game with me and see how you do.

I'll be sure to record the game so everyone on here can see me whoop your behind.

So if almost everything in this game is cheese...how do you play then? Do you just play ISO ball the whole time and try and crossover the defender? Do you run plays or is that cheese too?

P&R is not cheese even in this game, it's a fundamental of the game of basketball. Sometimes people lose their man in real life too, maybe you should watch more ball and complain less.

Cutting, ball movement, set plays, all of those are integral parts of the game. Just because our modern NBA almost exclusively uses P&R doesn't mean its the only thing you have to use. In fact, many real basketball experts have stated that they feel the game has regressed into only P&R plays. This version of 2k allows us to control almost the entire team on Offense. I am giving out personal feedback in the hopes that the Devs will find a way to give more user control to us on the defensive end as well... Please tell me where I said I am fed up with this game and will never play again. Or where I called the Devs out for making a horrible game. I am giving constructive feedback to something I feel the Devs had right in the previous 2k's and have now since gone away from that.

If you like doing one thing over and over again for 40 minutes that's your preference. Me? I'd rather play a game called basketball. Not a game called exploit the things the Devs have missed.

Wow, okay not only is it cheese but it's an exploit. They took out the P&R defensive settings which limits your defense but nothing you stated makes it's an exploit. Yes the P&R defense is limited but the P&R offense is flawed too.

You should've recorded that whipping ShakeAndBake gave you. You're lucky I'm the XB1. By the way I'm pretty sure you were trying to get sap Pippen from day one, how did that work out for you?

Keep it 2k because it's obvious you don't know anything about hoops. Cutting and ball movement is all part of the P&R.
Ppl like you is the reason devs dumb down this game.

              Re: Ruby Scottie Pippen Tournament

Running the P&R with Curry and a brick wall Forward over and over and over again is cheese. Then as the momentum swings, which causes team to completely forget how to play defense, continuing to run it over and over and over again is an exploit. I have played several iterations of 2k and have never ever encountered so many opponents who only do this form of P&R. They are not sending other guys to cut. They are not passing at all to set up a P&R. It is clear cheese. It is something the devs should have fixed from day one. it is something I have read on many threads in this forum from day one.

Shake did not do this btw. As I stated we had a great game and he won by 8 which I would hardly constitute a whipping when he has beaten guys by 20 or more. He even tweeted that he was "#bringingoutthecheese" and I know that is not his style.

Just because they got rid of euro step 3's etc doesn't mean there isn't cheese in this game. I am by no means only one on these forums or other venues that have cited examples like the aforementioned. If you have such a problem with me pointing out a clear miss by the Devs, I must conclude you can only win with these tactics. Pathetic.

I been playing myteam since day one and I probably ran into a few opponents that even attempted to run P&R. It's all turbo drives and post drives with posterizer.

Your problem is that you're relying on the CPU to defend for. Your lack of skill or experience is the reason why you consider this an exploit and can't make the right adjustments to stop it. By the way what you describe isn't a P&R.

                  I got you tho

All you have to do is trap the screen and roll and force them to pass. Guard the ball handler call for a dbl team when you see the screener getting ready to set the pick. Switch to a weak side defender and play the passing lane. Just read and react on defense. Or you can just play zone as a cop out.

lol play zone as cop out thats funny!

I do what you suggested or an iteration of it already except for the switching to a weak side defender for the passing lane. I'll try that next time thanks for the suggestion!

I don't know about easier, but I finally made it through tonight without seeing any Jordan/LeBron duplicate teams.

The first couple of times I lost, it was to guys who had multiple Jordans and LeBrons.

This time, I finally got matched up with people who had legit tournament teams.

Lol, i'm doing the tournament for the first time. My first game is against this guy who has LeBron, MJ, etc. So lame. I'm running with the actual current Bulls starting lineup including D.Rose.

This should be fun. I want Pip!
