I've gotten melo and kobe from domination mode...but melo got hurt...for 12 games *sigh* however I got Brandon Jennings from the pistons pack and he is turning out to be one of my best players haha

Also try to avoid taking free throws once you get to a 100% free throw rating. You'll get +100 points if you can make all your free throws.

I do this but with 3 pointers. If I make my first 3 pointer, I don't take anymore to get all possible points for 3 point %.

Also, if your game is close (in score) try to let it go into overtime. You can get extra points in OT. I got 860 points against the West All Stars last night but I don't think I would have gotten there without OT. Had to let them make a wide open 3 and then dribble out the clock for 10 seconds and not try to make a game winner.

Noob questions Just started playing domination (wanted to learn the game before playing online) and managed to get a few wins in my belt (i win 50% or more). However , I was wondering, how do you manage contracts ? I mean a game will cost you 12 contracts and by you earning 600mt per game (which is roughly a 5game contract) do you eventually run out?? from packs after winning you will pull 2-3 contracts but do you find yourself saving a lot of mt's for contracts? Bonus Question, is there a good consumable guide somewhere? I have some but somewhat afraid of misusing them...

Best thing to do is auction off all your contracts for 500-1k MT and buy them with MT directly from the contract screen once you have no contract cards. Bronze costs 40, silver 100, and gold 240 MT respectively per 5 contracts. Keep this on the downlow so they never patch it since its so cheap.

There are ways to get 800+ points (see this thread), but it's not really fun.
As Da_Czar uses to say "Don't play videogames, play basketball"!
Getting 800+ points isn't possible with a sim style of play.


I think without the 100+ jump between Wolves and Lakers this mode would still be a challange towards the end (with a sim style of play), but more enjoyable.

I think without the 100+ jump between Wolves and Lakers this mode would still be a challange towards the end (with a sim style of play), but more enjoyable.

I don't enjoy fastbreaking or posting up every possession but it's really the only way you can get 800+ points in this mode.

That's not true at all, you just need to play fast paced basketball, keep your percentages up and have a good team. Beast out on the rebounds and D

Some modes are good for sim, others are good for arcade style. Domination is not one that encourages sim. You can play most of the Challenges using sim ball. Goal there is just to win, not win with a certain amount of points.

It's def not a sim mode and when I finish it and am done loading up on players I'll start running through the challenges and go back to play my style which is a lot slower paced.

Altho it isnt the style of game I like to play it def feeds another thing I enjoy and maybe a lot of other people around here too which is trying to get the style right for high score chasing, there's something really thrilling about the sweat towards the end of the game before learning how much MT you got to see if you passed a particular team or not.

You get your packs but if you get a duplicate card your games crashes in my experience. Don't think you lose anything after crash but it's annoying.

I didn't receive a gold until like 17 games in and 5 of the next 9 games I received golds, wall, wade, derozan, al jeff and someone else. you get a lot more golds towards the end

Do players come with their default badges and we get to add extra OR do they come without any and we have to add extra? And if we add a badge does it cost more to add contracts for that player like in 2k14?
