This is better for the market long term tbh, because if they were that much more common, they would have no value long term. This mode is suppose to last until next year, keep that in mind.

There's a line between having them be somewhat rare, and having them be nearly impossible to get. 2k isn't very good at distinguishing said line. And as for someone who doesn't have time to farm, I don't have a lot of MT. So the auction house doesn't help me out much either.

Ya lol the chances of pulling a good player out of these packs are so ridiculously low if you think this way. On Friday when they just released these, Im gonna take a guess that probably most packs were bought in a single day since the game came out.

So I remember checking the auction that night, and seeing 1 rookie MJ, no Larry Birds 2 Magics 2 Pennies No Hakeem No Shaq No Admiral 1 Allen Iverson and to cap it off, no Pat Ewings or gold Bill Russells. Buying these packs right now is the equivalent of throwing MT down the drain

The only super notable and "common" legend I want is 86-87 Magic...however I think in my case it's justified and I'm a legit fan. There is one on the AH that I would pay 400,000K for in a heartbeat if I had it.

I'm thinking of a lineup of:

86-87 Magic, Dumars, B. King, McAdoo, and still undecided on the other starter.

Yeah, there's absolutely no point in wasting any amount of VC/MT points on the 50/50 packs when you know you're not going to pull anything worth having.

I'd much rather play against all stacked teams than not be able to have any decent legends. At this rate most people won't even be able to buy who they want from the auction house because people are asking for such ridiculously high prices. I've yet to see a Hakeem for less than 1 million MT points.

Epic fail, but this is pretty much what I expect from 2K Sports at this point. I didn't bother buying or playing 2K14 because I was getting pretty fed up. I know how often you people see this and how stupid it probably sounds, but I can honestly say that 2K15 will definitely be the last 2K Sports product I ever purchase. Incredibly greedy and lazy developers. They should be ashamed of themselves. Game is cheesy AF.

I disagree. You can still have a stacked team with the current players and many great historic legends that are cheaper on the market and even a couple more expensive ones. Chances are you have a team like that already. I probably won't get MJ but I rather not if I'm going to see him on every *** **** team. There would be no point in playing. I like what 2K did this year

My last 2k as well, too many headaches, too much time, too much effort that gets you ultimately nothing. Every year it's a different awful grind. Until there's some continuity from year to year where you don't have to start from scratch ever year it's not worth it. The auction house can't solve horrible packs or the two months it took to finally release historic players.

After two months of playing this mode I should have been able to earn a player like Patrick Ewing. I don't want the RTTP rewards offered, let me pick a legend I want to use. Is this "My" Team or "Group of Players I was Forced to Cobble Together because I had No Better Options for Months Despite the Fact that I Play this Mode All the Frickin' Time" Team?

And no, everyone doesn't have to have Jordan or Wilt or Shaq, you can make exceptions with the most dominant players in NBA history, make them very special rewards.

2k is just milking this historic players, had they been released at the beginning of release, there'd be a lot more.

I know people are split on this, but I kind of like it the way it is.

But I also think this mode should be tailored more to those who are willing and able to spend MONEY, not just rack up MT. That's why I still believe that 2K should sell these players individually instead of selling packs and points.

I know some of you will say "No fair! You're just BUYING your team!". But that's the point...if I am willing and able to spend the money, I should be able to buy access to the players I want, not grind it out opening packs. I know this isn't a popular opinion, especially amongst those who REFUSE to spend money on the game...

I agree with you on the part about the cards being rare, it's more fun that way. I'm one of those guys that want their collection full, I had every card available except the 150k+ ones before the Legends were released and now I'm having fun trying to collect them one by one(1020 cards collected). There would be no point if every pack gave me a Gold Legend.
I have to disagree on the buy the Legends you want part though. I think it's better the way it is. You want to pay? Pay and try your luck with packs. That way the guys willing to spend their cash get more chances than the guys getting MT from matches and opening one pack every 2 hours, but the latter guys still have their chance of pulling a Hakeem or a Jordan, albeit a small one.

Something to say about legends, its not that bad that their price is so high. They will go down as more are released, but you must understand that since you can complete the collection, the saphire legends allow you to get a legend for a very little loss. I.e.m you spend 15k to finish a historic collection depending on the team, then you spend 200k on the legend, complete the collection and then get saphire legend, sell the legend back for a loss.
