D Rose is a 95, which is an absolute disgrace.

I understand these cards are a money grab, but they shouldn't be blatantly inflating player ratings to get people to buy every week.

Dwayne Wade's Onyx season was without a doubt better than Derrick Rose's MVP season, so why the **** is he rated 2 points higher?

I really dont think people will care any where near as much as they do for d rose as VC and t mac. He is only 26 but i think out of all the MVPs to date he will be the first to not make the HOF. Which is sad and unfortunate because of injuries. I hope i am wrong and he has a comeback though

Because Wade's card is from a testing era, 2K probably didn't realize how much more money they could make with high rated players. I also doubt that we will ever see TBTs again where both players are ****.

What I still don't understand is, why are they making onyx cards from every collection available each thursday. You can't pull ruby glass cleaners or scorers anymore although people would freak out if they could still pull ruby Jordan, Kobe or Hakeem. They shut one way to make much more money down by taking out ruby players but they keep the other way open by making every onyx player available each week.

Imo they should do it like this:

- onyx packs should contain every player in the game (not only onyx and current players)
- release 2 onyx cards of a throwback series each thursday
- only the two currently released cards are available
- those 2 cards will be available for 1 week
- on the next thursday, two new onyx cards will be released while the old onyx cards are not available anymore
- after every card of a throwback series has been released, make the whole series available for 1 week
- after that, 2 cards of the new series will be released and the cycle starts over again
- cards of the old series will be only available in the AH, never in packs again

When will the ruby packs be released? Debating on waiting or going all in on the onyx packs.

When do the packs usually drop?

Usually between noon and 1pm eastern standard time

I feel like Ronnie said that Ruby Packs would all come out again later in the year. So if you missed on you will have another chance.

I think the Onyx packs are great. They have added a lot of cool players people wanted. Vince, McGrady, Ray Allen, Garnett, MVP Rose is sweet, Mourning and etc. That being said I will probably never get one of these players. For me pulling an Onyx player has the same odds as winning the lottery. Just because I cant get these players doesn't change my opinion of them being in the game. I get why people get annoyed at the Pink Diamonds but Onyx seem legit to me. Wish I had a few.

I actually agree with 95% of the decisions 2K makes with this game mode, but this is ridiculous and a blatant cash grab at the expense of any semblance of realism.
