Sorry...but LeBron is basically a PG. He's a freakishly athletic Magic Johnson. People who always try to compare him to Jordan don't have a clue and probably aren't old enough to have ever seen Magic play.

I've been watching LeBron James play basketball since he was like 14 or 15 years old...and he's one of the best passers to ever play the game....yeah...ever.

The Admiral at PF is hardly a stretch. He's probably more of a PF than an actual C...he was very much a mid post and ISO player in his heyday...which is what made him a tough matchup. Most guys his size can't guard that.

You can even argue that, despite what might have been listed in the box score, Robinson was playing PF when he was paired with a young Tim Duncan. Duncan operating much more from the post while Robinson spent more time around the FT line and in the mid post.

Who cares if LeBron is the smallest guy on the court? Why is height a factor?

What about anyone playing Magic or Penny at the Point?

Restricting positions is a bad idea...especially given some of the lineups we see in today's NBA.

I wouldn't even call that lineup cheese...you could definitely see a lineup like that in an NBA game.

LeBron is basically Magic with more scoring...if you substituted Magic in that lineup, would it still be a problem?
I agree. The issue here is that LeBron should get destroyed on defence by any good point guard.

This game had an issue from the start, the speed and acceleration ratings. They were too low for some and too high for others.

There are too many point guards with lower acceleration that LeBron. In what world are AD and LeBron faster than, lets say Lowry or Dragic. I don't care how fast they are, they do not have the agility and acceleration to hang with an elite PG for a full match.

Until this aspect of the ratings is fixed, playing players out of position won't stop. Besides, LeBron brings the ball up court but he doesn't have the handles to face a good defender unless he's running full steam ahead.

      1) Transition defense/half court defensive AI.

We all know transition D is bad...but the way the AI handles the defense in the half court makes it WAY worse.

Just watch your PG when he is back in the half court and the opposing PG receives the inbounds pass. He starts bouncing around and moving...and running into his own teammates.

It happens because he's reacting to the movements of the man he's guarding...even though that guy is like 70 feet away. It's a mess.

They need to program the game so that the PG is standing at the top of the key to the 3PT line and waiting for the opposing PG...and then reacting as his man approaches half court.

The way it is now is CLOWNISH.

      2) Diagonal passes and broken fast break AI

A portion of 2K cheesers figured out long ago that one of the most effective things you can do in 2K is to heave the ball down the court to one side...and then throw a quick pass diagonally for a layup.

It breaks the defensive AI and defensive players NEVER react on time. Some guys get so "good" at it that they don't even realize they are doing it EVERY time and just how cheesy and unrealistic it is.

At least alley-oops are more difficult this year...because in past years, this was made even worse with unstoppable diagonal alley oops.

      3) Offensive transition

Spacing and staying in running lanes is poor. Too often you simply wind up with a group of 7 or 8 guy all running into the paint. It's a cluster fluff....

Another problem is players do unrealistic things...what I mean is, a guy like Korver would often spot up or run to the corner these days on a fast break. In 2K he blindly runs down the court.

      4) Guys cut when they shouldn't.

      Oh...this might be the worst.

Nothing is worse than making a smart play to draw the defense and then hit the button to throw a pass to your wide open spot-up specialist in the corner....

...only to watch him CUT to the basket as soon as you hit the pass button.

Korver isn't going to cut to the basket when his man leaves him to help stop the ball and everyone else is on the weak side. He's going to STAY where he is for an open corner 3 - AKA the best shot in basketball.

Too often these guys CUT to the hoop...which is still open...but allows weak side defenders to help and get a block or force a miss.

I don't want unathletic spot up shooters cutting to the hoop where there are elite defenders are waiting to throw their shot attempt into the first row.

      5) Players who catch passes thrown from a passer standing behind them

Directional passing is pretty "meh" but this is the worst.

I've played guys who literally HEAVE the ball straight up the middle of the court. With passes that should probably hit them in the back of the head...at the very least the receivers of these passes should have to slow down or stop to catch the ball.

In 2K though...many of them catch these passes without ever breaking stride, while the defensive players do the opposite.

This is a huge gameplay issue and one that is constantly exploited by cheesers.

      6) No charges

I watch an NBA game and see a couple charge calls every night...some games there are 4 or 5.

I've seen maybe 10 max in all my games of 2K16.

All the turbo-spammers get mad when SMART players start to take charges to counter their reckless style of play...so they get on Twitter and label it "charge cheese".

2K sides with these mouth-breathers (the squeaky wheel gets the grease) and they make it almost impossible to actually draw a charge.

If you're going to leave Turbo in the game the way it is now...you need to allow players to actually take a charge. And if you don't want idiots taking charges up and down the court...then program the game to identify this and penalize those who try to abuse it.

Good points. My counter would be that LeBron is still very fast...and, when he wants to be, still an elite defender.

When I've seen him 'locked in' on defense, he has no problem defending just about anyone - even PG's.

He's still very fast when compared to slow PGs and regular SF.

He can do that I agree, even though I haven't seen that in a while, but anyway, it would be only for a couple of seconds for a few possessions, not the entire game.

And it's not only about speed and acceleration. It's about something like agility, that I think it is coded into ball control somehow.

Yes I just had two 0-0 losses out of ten games. One pregame and one after the guy quit mid game. So bizarre and frustrating!

On another note I am having much better luck passing with the settings on openness. Directional passing was driving me crazy.

I've been leaving full court press on a lot versus the people who turbo all over in the 3 gold restricted seeds. Yes they throw in over the top and it creates a 3 on 2 but they are stupid enough to race in. I'll just control my center or pf and let them come bump into me. Instant turnover or slow roll miss off the rim. The smart ones stop but it is rare. Plus if they throw the ball in too fast the ai pick it off. Another benefit of it is they can't use their sg and sf effectively because they are too far behind the play. I trick them into running the offense with lower rated offensive players and then they get frustrated.

I take back what I said at first about bumping and losing the ball, directional passing is most frustrating for me right now without a doubt because I throw the ball away from that way more than losing the ball....even on "openness". Gonna keep it on that setting though...but I just have to do the best I can with icon passing for the most part.

Just played someone who had an all black court, black basketball, and black jerseys.. meanwhile I have black away jerseys too. I couldn't see the ball, I kept getting lost, it was hurting my eyes, terrible game. Another loss.

Yeah, this is an issue and was a crappy idea IMO. Most people seem to love it though. I think it's just a bad experience and gives the feeling of an arcade game mode.

I played against a guys like that (all black), couldn't see ****. The worst though was an all pink (court and jerseys). It was hurting my eyes so bad that I quit the game, even though I was winning.
