While I really like Marion, I'm starting to consider replacing him with a Ruby or Amethyst LeBron. I can have LeBron be the main ballhandler sometimes and make Curry play off-ball as a spot up shooter once in a while.

That's not a bad idea. It's never really a bad idea to use the best LeBron you can afford. You could also consider Ruby Giannis. Maybe also a Ruby Carmelo.

I lucked out and won an auction for the Ammy Rodman for 38k last night, which let me finish the Lockdown set and gave me Diamond Robinson. He's better than people said he is. I was worried he'd feel too stiff to play at the 4 and I'd end up having him start at C in place of Gilmore. He's actually the perfect 4, and compliments Gilmore really well. He was absolutely dominant in the two games I played with him last night, and I wasn't even trying to force things with him. I didn't even get a chance to try him out as the 4 in Quick 42 Flare, but I have a feeling that HOF Brick Wall is going to make that play even more effective.

I bought a League Pack box just for the hell of it and pulled that Ammy Steph. I despise him in real life, but I've loved having him at the end of my bench as a Sapphire with a Diamond contract and shoe and on my budget squad. His 3 is just insane, and I can call Quick 2 Swing for him.

I bought Ammy Bird last night and sold him an hour later. His shot is too slow. I'd never use him. When he sells, I'm buying Ammy Kawhi and Ammy Conley, and we'll see how and where I use them. I got Ammy West when I did the Lockdown set, and I like him better than that Bing, but I'm trying to give Bing a fair chance before I go to West or Conley full time.

GrimaceZ7, I keep seeing that Robinson is a freaking monster. I don't quite have the MT to snag him unless I sell some key pieces, but that's the long-term goal. Do you think he'd work well at the 4 with Diamond Dikembe at the 5?

Absolutely. I think Gilmore is one of the best centers in the game, and what I like about him so much is that while he has excellent post moves and offensive ability, he's also a defensive monster, 7'2" and his contest and block tendencies are very high. So defensively, he plays a lot like Dikembe. When I need offense from Gilmore, he gives me that. But if I want to focus on offense from other guys, he's still there dominating the paint defensively and grabbing boards at both ends.

Dikembe lacks Gilmore's middie and fade, but otherwise they're very similar. Pick up Robinson and pair them up and you'll get a bunch of rage quits.

Work the AH and snipe for the pieces to finish the set. You'll be surprised how easy it is. If you're on console, anyway. I figured it'd be another week or two, but I think everyone was selling off pieces to get Carter.

Depending on the day and time, the rest of the set cost between 415K and 490K MT. Right now I have 400K MT, but I don't want to blow my whole bankroll at once, and I'm saving specifically for Diamond LeBron whenever he actually exists.

Better to blow it on pieces for Robinson if prices are at low point now. I would imagine they just get more expensive as time goes on.

And Robinson is a unicorn in this game.

Only an inflated endgame KAT might have a mix of Attributes that's similar, but he's shorter and I just can't imagine they'll have KAT surpass Robinson's Lat Quickness.

Another thing you might consider doing is if you're keeping a close eye on the cards in the set and you see one going cheaper than normal before you're ready to lock in, buy it and then sell it when the market hits a high tide, then buy it back when it hits a low tide. I did that with Pippen when I was building my Gilmore. I saw one for 37k when I was about six cards away, then sold it for 65k and used the profit to buy another card for the set. Then I ended up getting the Pippen that finished the set for me for 40k.

Also, I don't know if everyone knows this or not, but just because you've got a card locked in doesn't mean that you can't buy another copy of that card and replace the locked in one and sell the one you had locked in.

For example, I bought the cheapest Dikembe I could find. But if I see another one with a Diamond shoe or contract, I might very well buy it and sell the one I currently have.

And if you're being patient and building collections in a very deliberate and cost-conscious way, you can also collect the cards for a collection and not commit by locking it in...if you generally have the MT but haven't quite made a decision.

This is especially true on PC, for which expired collections tend to skyrocket. For example, I know I'd sure like to have Diamond Moncrief, but maybe not if the cost of him means I can't get Diamond Artest and/or Diamond Mullin.

So I just collected all the cards for Moncrief and will hold off on locking in, to ensure I can build my MT reserves back up for the other two cards. If one of them comes out when I'm low, then I can always then make a decison as to which I want more, and sell the Moncrief pieces if he's not the one I go for.

Console AH may have much less premium for expired cards and not force to be pre-emptive in purchases, so YMMV.

Grinded out those Moments challenges last night and got my hands on a Ruby LeBron with 5 gold badges. Threw a Diamond Shoe on him and boosted his rating to 90, so he's technically an Amethyst now lol.



Loving the card tbh. Marion is a great card but this LeBron fits my playstyle so much better. Running a pick and roll with him while Curry and Klay spot up is so deadly. His passing animations are ridiculous as well. They're lightning fast.

I think I'm done upgrading my players for now. Right now i'm gonna just focus on grinding for badges. I really want to see how deadly my Ruby Curry and Klay can get with some gold shooting badges on them lol.

After the last diamond card boosts, I decided that I will an attempt on Grant Hill.

I liquidated Amy KD, Amy Joe Johnson and Wilt Chamberlain and with my rest stacked MT I started building up the collection

I am a huge fan of Grant Hill, (and I have met him in a 3x3 tournament sponsored by Sprite which we won and then we played some hoops with him)

His stats are amazing for the slasher type I want at SG, and I will combine him with the shooting Kiki at SF.

I have been able to pick Wilt again after quick selling Emeralds and golds of current collection and now I am offloading a bunch of moments cards and try to get KD back.

I am really worried about how to offload COurts/Jerseys and shoes.I hope I will not get a huge hit

I didn't want to take a huge hit when I culled most of my jerseys and courts, and it took a lot of time working out what I could sell for premium prices.

My biggest drama was what didn't sell....clogged up my Auction outcomes. After a week of trying to sell everything at the best price, i ended up guesstimating the market for each card and it was only the odd card that I sold cheaper than what it was probably worth.

Remember you can try and spot that Wade some minutes alongside LeBron for the duo boost that makes him even more deadly, particularly his free throw up to 85 which is his one Achilles Heel otherwise if you aren't already.

Yeah, LeBron's FT rating is pretty disappointing lol. I gotta practice his release.

I picked up that Wade with the Anta shoe that gives him +9 open 3, +9 open mid and +9 def consistency. Now I just need to get used to his release and pick up a Lebron.

Won a bid for a diamond DRose last night fully badged out for 187k. Sold my Jason Kidd this morning for 90k so got drose for about 106k and I pulled Porzingis in a single pack!!!



I'll be adding that Diamond Harden tonight when everyone is pulling packs for the all star game MVP.
