And is the sapphire kawhi so much better than the emerald one since it just upgrades like 2 attribute. Sapphire one have defensive anchor though.

Yeah, the upgrade to Sapphire is significant. Getting Defensive Anchor is a big deal, even if you already run a big/center with it.

The +6 Post Fade is a big deal, to 82. The +7 across the board on mids is significant. And if you drive/finish with him a lot, then the +20 Draw Foul is a big deal.

Also a big deal is that, with a Sapphire, you get 5 open badge slots, instead of just 3 with an Emerald.

I have been struggling with a defensive squad in MTO so i have flipped the script and gone for a more scoring-oriented team.
Starting 5:
PG: Amethyst Steve Francais
SG: Sapphire Moments DeMar DeRozan
SF: Sapphire Droppin 50 Terrence Ross
PF: Emerald George McGinnis
C: Diamond Ben Wallace

Bench 5:
PG: Sapphire Robert Pack
SG: Sapphire Quentin Richardson
SF: Sapphire LeBron James
PF: Sapphire Robert Horry
C: Emerald Dikembe Mutumbo

I feel like so far Wallace has been wasted guarding PF/C so im going to use him to guard the PG of the opposing team, thats why i have McGinnis in the squad, he may be 6'8" but he has 98 strength so he can hold his own against centers, plus he has high post scoring stats and an adequate mid-range to not clog up the paint.

I'm about to beat historic domination and from the looks of things everyone is saying don't get Ben Wallace. my lineup is mainly emerald and whatever the next level up is but im lethal with all of them.

I'm done with both dominations and almost finished level 10 on blacktop so another diamond reward is incoming (and hopefully PD Isiah as well). I'm also selling my collection right now, Jerry is my final collector reward for this years edition of NBA 2k.

Haven't really played MTO yet, just 5 games, silver league.
I'm always looking to improve, so a starting center and a sharp shooter will be top prioritys for me before I start the MTO grind

Still my favourite stretch big in the game, Perkins outside, Shaq inside, Magic at PG makes for a deadly triangle

Vince Carter? Moments Klay? Penny for the DD with Shaq? Have plenty of MT, but no reward players are an option, since many historic players aren´t available on PC.

Depends on how much you want to spend really... Moments Klay is a great choice but won't be cheap right now. VC's defense is too weak IMO, especially considering most people use their SG as primary scorer.

Ruby RIP Hamilton is a good cheaper option IMO, good shooter from everywhere and solid on D.

But Klay is the pick of the bunch if you don't rely on your SG for shot creation off the dribble.

Running Sapphire Kawhi could also work.

This is the definition of playing the auction house over the game. You have only played 5 games in MTO with that beast of a line up?

because it will take months to get to the next player, even with new moments cards. and also, if you look closely at the boxscores every night, there are almost always the same players that highlight the scorecards --> higher tier cards of the same players resulting in higher prices.


and in the meantime, the cards I already have decrease in value, so I guess I'm better off selling right now and sitting on a huge amount of MT

dont buy packs. i dont. ive not spent a dollar on this game other than buying it. i dont believe in micro-transactions. customers aren't rewarded for buying packs with real dollars..either that be in higher pull rates or simply gameplay.

when 2K figure out how not to make this mode all about $$$, get rid of equalizers/momentum, and allow diamonds to play like actual diamonds in game...i'll spend money. until then, i'll gladly play the market.

I wanted to ensure I had a Floor General on the court at all times, so I bought moments Harden even though he's not usually my kind of player. He was only just over 20k so didn't cost too much, and liking the results so far... He comes in any time Magic is on the bench to keep those stats boosted.

I really want to grab Ruby Bill Laimbeer so I have a defensive anchor any time Zo is out as well but he is really rare right now :/

Having a C who can shoot threes would be a luxury as well!

I hate how we can't view mental badges when looking at the auction house, pretty stupid

I've said it many times...that I don't usually like offense-first guys, especially at PG, but Harden is just a scoring animal to an extent that one cannot ignore. He's especially useful because the ways he can score are so reliable and not really timing-dependent like the jumper of a great shooter.

He can post up on all the really good shooting point guards, and abuse them in the paint. I find him better on the post-spin than Magic.

And if you can just get him into the paint, or headed to the paint, going for a layup or a contested jumper will have a very good chance of resulting in at least foul shots.

If I have to score 2 points at the end of a game, I give the ball to Harden. I like Harden's chances of getting two points, even if guarded by an MRR or Magic...better than, say, a Hakeem guarded by a Dikembe.

Having a C who can shoot threes would be a luxury as well!
