Spent all my MT basically completing my lineup with TMac, Nash, and Towns and badging most of my players. Pettit will replace Marion when he is released and I would like to get Isiah eventually to replace Parker. Other than that I might replace Harden with a less defensively challenged SG but him having floor general is keeping him in my lineup for now.

That's an incredible lineup. I see you've got Penny still in your lineup even after all these other diamond PGs have dropped. I'm considering blowing some major MT on him or Amethyst Jordan and I'm very interested to know what you think of Penny as a long-term option.

Nothing special, but this is what my team looks like after only buying the game and not spending my hard earn $$!

Quite proud actually, tops my 2k16 effort.

What does floor general help exactly, do you notice it?

I don't think we know, though maybe it's known what it did in prior versions.

But, in general, badge description says it "Makes his team better offensively..." so one assumes that the effect is something like a (modest) buff to shooting, to all 4 teammates. Could be more varied.

Thanks. I'm comfortable with Penny's shot and dribble animations at this point and it's nice to have a bigger PG at times so that's why he is still there. Plus I think a prime Penny is too cool to pass on. I tried out Rose and Kidd but didn't like their animations as much so I decided to build my bench around Penny.

I haven't played any games with this lineup so I can't say anything about the floor general effect. I'm going to play some games this weekend though swapping Harden and probably ruby Eddie Jones so I will report back on how my players do. I heard it gives a ratings buff to offensive categories so my hope is that it will buff Penny's shooting a bit.

Well in the past it give +4 to shooting stats, so I would assume it's the same as previous 2k but I don't notice the boast in game so who knows if it's glitch or not.

Updated team:

Added Amy Ray Allen and Amy Rip. Love them both even though Ray is a very streaky shooter for me. Rip damn near plays like a diamond. I cant miss with him it seems and hes very active on defense.

Anyway Im almost done with Domination and Im going to pick Amy Shawn Marion to slot in at SF and I might move Giannis to the bench or put him at PG.

Almost ready to start Historic domination so I can upgrade my team some more.

Been working hard all year to get this team, I only bought 20$ worth of vc which got me my ruby giannis, everything else I got through flipping on the auction house and domination. I have around 50k with more auctions going on now and I'm in the amythyst league 2-0. Any recommendations on what I can do to deepen the team?

Just got Kiki and am running with this lineup now. I really like him at the 2 offensively so I run Butler at the 3 and switch their defensive matchups. I run PNR's with Isiah then look to get Kiki and Butler going with my starting 5.

I run my bench offense through Thompson, who has been great for me once I figured out how to really use him (slash to dunk and take floaters, or moving mid's if they're backing off). He needs the ball in his hands, so Payton compliments him really well as an off-ball PG. I could upgrade Payton to Amethyst Fat Lever, but I'm very comfortable with Payton's release and all I need him to do is hit open 3's consistently and bring the ball up court to pass to Thompson. Skywalker is now my leading scorer, generally getting about 15 points in 10 minutes per MTO game.

I'm the only one I ever see that carries Battier, but he's been a reliable 3-and-D wing for me for months so I just keep playing him. Amethyst Leonard would be an upgrade, yet with so few badges he's not an end-game player to me so I'm not interested in spending there.

My Centers are a real problem, especially defensively. Gasol was solid when I got him and was in the lower leagues, but as I'm battling for a diamond shoe in the Ruby league, I've been matching up against Ewing, Robinson, Porzingis and other Centers who just dunk all over him. Yao gets pushed around too, and I generally don't play him a lot unless someone else puts his Yao in (in which case my Yao usually dominates). I've been getting torched too much in the paint recently, so I put Big Ben back in the lineup over MRR to see if he can help. I get almost no offense from my Centers either, but fortunately my guards/wings can create all the offense necessary.

My goal at this point is to grind from 1400 cards to 1700 to get Hill & King, then sell everything off to complete the Lockdown set for Robinson. I think I would run Robinson, Mutombo, and possibly Hakeem in my 13.

^ Your general plan to get up through to King and then sell off to get Diamond Robinson sounds good. Hill and King are definitely worthwhile. If you think you can end up stretching for PD West, that should be definitely worth it, in terms of getting a(nother) endgame PG for "free."

Surprised your Gasol is getting pushed around. You might try to put a Strength shoe on him to see how that helps.

Try also putting a Post Fade shoe on GP. With 92 Post Fade, the shot is a strong one to take and easy to set up, especially if what you were doing was not working out and you just have a few seconds left on the clock.

See how Kiki works for you at 2. If it works, it works. I think he's too slow at 2, given how many super-fast, super-skilled guards/wings there are now. But if your opponent is running someone like Klay or Peja or Petrovic, then he's fine. Just manual/monitor him because he'll otherwise be stupid and get lost too much on D.

And, with Kiki, definitely work his post game. His post-fade is reliable, and is very good with a shoe boost. And you can spin out to moving mids that are money with him.

I highly recommend the Lockdown set. There are so many usable players. Dikembe, Hakeem and West are all currently in my 13, and Russell comes and goes. Plus Robinson is an end game center to me. Even some of the rubies are very usable. Just a great set overall, especially considering it's relatively cheap to complete compared to the more recent sets.

I recommend amy Fat. He's basically a souped up version of GP with a better 3 ball. Very good animations too.
