Re: Lineup Roll call...what your squads looking like?!!?!
It's 2k. They're not going to change anything. They have put a lot of time and efforting into developing an adversarial relationship with their customers.
I don't care. What are those kinds of players going to do with a PD Tim Duncan?
Some of them surely will. I don't care. If a few of them realize what's happening and complain, that's more people complaining to 2k. That's never a bad thingComment

Re: Lineup Roll call...what your squads looking like?!!?!
For those that have PD wade and PD love...
And also for those that support getting used to your players as opposed to just upgrading for the sake of it...
PD wade went from not making my lineup, to no.13, to now my sg off bench behind tmac. The card is incredible. Except for the 3 ball (with shoe its still a respectable 86+), this guy is a #$# baller. He slashes, dunks, dribbles, passes, and defends up there with some of the best cards ive used.
Behind 95 magic and 98 oscar, i even run him as 3rd pg as his defence is stellar and his passing ratings basically pushed my 95 manu out of my team. Manu bought the 3 ball but wade just has way more influence on the game.
Over time this wade will only get better for me. Much like love. At the start i only played him cos he was a PD and i felt like i had to find a spot. Now he is a legit pnp off bench, and hustles like hell for me.
Point of this post is that i think if you give cards time and get used to them, they can be way more effective for you if you leearn how to use them instead of making judegements over 2-3 games.Comment

Re: Lineup Roll call...what your squads looking like?!!?!
Couldn't care less about losses. And it's a very effective way to protest, because it could and should lead to people who got the card to complain about it. If people who don't have the card complain, people will dismiss it as them complaining about not getting the card.
Locker code nonsense has no place in the game. Earn your lineups either by playing the game or by buying the VC (or preferably by buying MT from third party sites - 2k doesn't deserve your money) to pull the cards from packs. Having nothing better to do than waiting around for a code to be released and getting it inputted within the ten seconds that the code is active is weak and it's terrible for the competitive balance of the game. Thankfully they made the Wade and Love hot garbage.
2k promised that they would not do this diamond crap again and they did it. that was the final straw and I learned I could never actually trust this company again.Comment

Re: Lineup Roll call...what your squads looking like?!!?!
Quitting a game to "protest" is almost one of the most ignorant things I have heard in a long time. Seriously you have no impact even though you think in your head you really showed them. The opponent doesn't care. They move on to the next game.
Hey if people were going to do this I would actually try to get one so I could get PD Duncan without wasting a ton of my time playing 5 out cheeseballers. Not every idea is a good idea and this one just doesn't make the team.
2k has way more serious problems than them getting their kicks promoting stupid locker codes on twitter. Let the fanboys get their locker code players. This game sucks and it is a shame.Comment

Re: Lineup Roll call...what your squads looking like?!!?!
yeah but I don't have to play a stupid pink diamond card someone got in a typing contest. Honestly I don't care about this because after this latest glitch in the auction house so many players have teams they did not earn so really doesn't matter. at least with the pack glitch people had to spend something and it was before all the big diamond cards came out
But back on the thread topic.... when it comes to peoples lineups, I'm of the belief that you play the players as they do in the NBA. I dont play melo or KD very much at PF, and Tmac is never playing point for me, unless he's the SG and I'm running an ISO of some sort.
For those playing players out of position, just dont please.
What ruins this game more is the players, not 2k. It can start by running a simulation/realistic lineup.

DeCyrus borrowed my account and made a Youtube video. It was really interesting seeing him use my players in my lineup in different ways than I use them. He's one of my favorite Youtubers, so check him out for sure.Comment

Re: Lineup Roll call...what your squads looking like?!!?!
moving back to what this thread was really about. i have been working on this lineup for quite sometime and gone are the days of ruby olajuwon and ruby cousins... i must say i still cannot find a better power forward stretch than my love sapphire.... maybe when the bob pettit reward comes my way i will move him but wow has my squad changed.
i have tons of fun with this team... i rarely play mto and might jump back into it but i just use this team for challenges and replaying domination and i earn plenty of mt having maxed all their contracts out. now this mode is just fun for me.. and blacktop is much easier with higher rated cards obviously..Attached FilesORLANDO BLACKOUT

Re: Lineup Roll call...what your squads looking like?!!?!
Ive got an 11 diamond and 2 PD lineup... if we were to be matched up I'm curious to know how you would know that I did, or did not earn my lineup....

course you're going to say I am wrong but I am not the liar here 2k is. and fact is I would get to play someone who earned their team right afterComment

I'm surprised you're only in the sapphire league.
MTO really needs a fixed difficulty settings throughout. It's feels like a different game on higher difficulty settings. Mutombo hitting a three is ridiculous and stuff like that happens way too often on all star settings.Comment

Re: Lineup Roll call...what your squads looking like?!!?!
I work full time and am on tour a lot of the weekends, so I don't have time to play a lot of games. I took my time with the Dominations, and I play a lot of Park/Pro-Am.
Also, I'm not that great at the game. Or, for whatever reason my team misses wide open, well timed shots while my opponents hit well-contested threes with guys who shouldn't be taking them on a very regular basis. Then again, DeCyrus destroying those fools with the same team shows that it's me and not my team or whatever.Last edited by GrimaceZ7; 04-08-2017, 11:30 AM.Comment

So after today's update...I sold Kristaps and finished the collection for Scottie, and got Wilt since I'll never get to touch pink diamond Wilt in this game. First game today I dropped 38 with him. His post fade is amazing and he is still very good on D for me despite benching Dwight. Truth be told my opponent was using that new Wes cardAttached Files"If you ain't dead, you're alive" - Javale McGeeComment

Re: Lineup Roll call...what your squads looking like?!!?!
I finished that Earl The Pearl Monroe set last night and I absolutely love that card. Super high flashy passing tendency and his animations are very old school. The card plays as much like real life Earl the Pearl as Ammy Kobe plays like real life Kobe. Very pleased with that card, without a doubt. I don't know where I'll use him with 8 Diamond PGs in my collection, but we'll see.
I finished that Rolando Blackman set today, and I have to say that it knocked Harden from the top spot as the absolute worst Diamond I've used. I don't know how you're supposed to use him, TBH. He's got the tendencies of a big, but he doesn't have a post game at all. Defense is mediocre. Dribble moves are slow and he doesn't have good animations. Release is okay, but it's not going to make up for the lower 3pt atts. He's got a very good midrange game, but that's not enough to make it worthwhile. This would have been an insanely good card in early December, but there's just no reason to use him now.Comment
