How often are you getting matched up with all Diamond lineups? I'm finding the matchups better and my team's performance a lot better when I use Sapphire-Ruby-Ammy lineups than my best squad. And that's sad, really.

Ever since I hit the Sapphire league it's been basically every game lol.

My last two games have been



However, I hardly seem to get matched up with people in the 3rd prestige. Most of my matchups are against 1st prestige with the occasional 2nd prestige player.

Sold my AS Porzingis for 250k and Diamond Harden for 55k and turned them into Diamond Lillard and Diamond Booker. I'm only testing the Booker out right now since I already have PD Wade and I'm just waiting till Diamond Kobe comes out. But I'm definitely having fun with his card since I didnt play with a Booker card all year. I'll probably get him back if he dips to around 70k but that might take a while.

Diamond Lillard is the best scoring PG I've used all year and has one of the best releases in the game. He probably won't start for me though since GP is too good on th defensive side of the ball but he can be my 6th man and carry the scoring load with Diamond PG. Once a Diamond Kawhi comes out, I'll be selling my Melo for him.

I've only played it in Challenges versus the CPU, with some of these on Pro, and some on All-Star, Difficulty.

A really cheesy, big, defensive lineup:

PG: DI Paul Pierce
SG: DI Dennis Rodman
SF: DI Wes Unseld
PF: DI David Robinson
C: DI Marc Gasol

And also a smaller alternate of: Pierce, Artest, Rodman, Unseld, Robinson.

Either way, I've been able to hold the CPU to comically bad shooting. Like sub-30% FG%, as low as 20%. May not be all that impressive to some, but I think I usually hold CPU to more like 35-45% FG%.

On Defense, you can do whatever you want: Switch All, Zone, Shrink the Floor...all these guys are elite in ever conceivable way, defensively.

On Offense, you can play bully-ball by trying to exploit whichever mismatch is most exploitable, generally 1-3. Pierce and Unseld are both very polished post-up players. Artest and Rodman can abuse smaller/weaker guys with drop-steps and post-spins. Not quite at-will like better post guys, but still at a higher-than-average level.

And if a double comes, everyone can hit an open three, to varying degrees of surety.

And Pierce is actually a pretty capable ballhandler and isn't bad at being a P&R ballhandler. And 2 of his 4 play types are P&R Ball Handler and ISO. Obviously, also, all 5 guys are good screen setters, with Unseld and Robinson having HoF Brick Wall and the rest all being able to accommodate Gold Brick Wall. Pierce is the only one who would actually be "good" at being ballhandler, but it's nice that you'll get high-quality screens from any of his teammates...and all of them are at least okay to elite at both Rolling and Popping.

EDIT: Rather than Pierce, Oscar or Magic would be more ideal at PG. But I don't have either one of them (I have AM Magic, but I'd rather have Pierce's shooting and better speed, generally, than Magic's better Low Post Def IQ and even his ballhandling.)

My two lineups I use. PD Pettit will be added to the squad tomorrow. Just need a DI or PD LBJ and that should be me for end game lineups. Maybe work towards Diamond Bosh and ammy Ray for my Heat lineup.

I absolutely love Unseld at the 3. It was the first thing I thought of when he came out. People get so mad.

Anybody get Bob Pettit yet? I won't be able to get him for another day or two and it's killing me to know the next reward after him haha. I'm also curious to see if he plays as well as his stats suggest with 98 intangibles.

I'm pretty sure Pettit is the last one. I read on another board that there will be 10 more weeks of challenges, but that they're just for people to catch up who missed out. So if you're more than 10 weeks from Baylor or Pettit, you're out of luck. If you're already getting Pettit, it's more opportunities to earn MT, but I don't think there's another PD coming. Let me know if I'm wrong!

This is the day I've been waiting for all season. I just pulled the trigger on Diamond LeBron for 296K. I know he's going to come down because there are a ton on the market, but I don't care. I spent 80% of my remaining MT on Bron, and I'm a happy man. I badged him out fully (he's only missing Charge Card) and overpaid for Gold Kobe 9 Elite Christmas kicks (2,200 MT) to boost his ball control +9 (88), Moving Mid +6 (99) and Speed +3 (97). After 7 months, my team is better than I ever could have imagined, and it's finally complete with LeBron.

I went ahead and put it on myself to grind through them tonight and just accept that I'm going to feel miserable at work tomorrow haha. I can confirm that Pettit is definitely the last one as it doesn't even let you get back into the challenge token screen. I was obviously hoping for at least one or two more players, but I can't complain at the overall offering of free players compared to 2K16.

They probably had us playing three to four times the amount of games for Diamond Kareem last year, so I'll take this as a win.

Awesome! This morning I got one pair on BIN for 850 and won bids on 2 others for 650 each. So I'm set for awhile on those shoes. If I get through PD league I think I'll just save the rest for the higher leagues on second prestige

Spent all my MT basically completing my lineup with TMac, Nash, and Towns and badging most of my players. Pettit will replace Marion when he is released and I would like to get Isiah eventually to replace Parker. Other than that I might replace Harden with a less defensively challenged SG but him having floor general is keeping him in my lineup for now.

Haven't given an update on my lineup in a while so I thought I would post an update since I made some pretty big changes. Managed to build up some MT by spending on St. Patty's and Easter packs and I also pulled diamond LeBron last night. I sold him immediately for 290k. I used that to go on a little shopping spree. I'm running two lineups now. The first is my god squad which I am trying to add most my favorite players of all time. The second is a souped up challenge/fun lineup with guys that I will be spot starting on the god squad a bit and I also run a lot on blacktop.

Over this weekend I've added Embiid, Russ, Rondo, Wiggins, Hayward, and Pettit of course through the challenges. Rondo, Wiggins, and Hayward I was able to acquire because of the LeBron proceeds.



The only card I am waiting on for this lineup is CWebb who will probably replace Wes but idk. I am really loving Wes right now so he could challenge Pettit for back up PF.

The other dilemma I have is which PG to run as third string.

Yeah I know Oscar and Russ are redundant af. But Russ has been my favorite player this year since Wade bitched out and went to the Bulls (I'm a Heat fan btw). And my goal has been to keep my favorite players on my main squad. But I feel like Rondo is such a great fit it is a shame to keep him off the team. That HOF dimer would be amazing when I want to go small and take Wes out and move everyone else down a spot. Plus his card is so nice this year. Seems like his jumper is even smoother than last year and he has no cold zones unlike last year. I am loving GP since he complements my wings so well and Oscar is a god with all those shooters around him so they will keep their spots definitely.



Here's the other lineup. Never really expected a challenge team to get this crazy. But like I said, the LeBron pull made me go on a spending spree and I just wanted to add some more cards that I had enjoyed earlier in the year (Hayward, Wiggins).

I still have Penny. I just have to much fun with that card to sell it man. Fat is a beast too, one of the best budget pickups you can get imo. I've really enjoyed the Flake card too a lot. He boards really well and finishes at the rim very efficiently. I've also really been enjoying Harden a lot lately too. Top five offensive card in the game and just simply fun to use. I am considering picking up a PO upgrade even though it will cost me.
